Hey people.. Got my new exhaust installed tonight.. 3 words: TOO DAMN NOISY!!

It sounds like a thumper (like an S40 or something)..
Will take pics tomorrow when I get home from work.. but yeah, my friend is gonna make up a silencer thingy that will get welded into the exhaust to improve back-pressure, and quieten it down a bit too..

..anyway, that's about it for now..

Um, how can a bike be too noisy? When purchasing mine (equiped with a scorpian pipe), I was told it was a safety feature!

my bike noise db would put most harleys to shame.. but i'm gonna get it quitened down a bit..

..even with class 5 (-32db) earplugs, my ears are still kinda ringing..

Don't stress it man, the bike will get quiter with in a few hours of riding it :D

nah, it's my friends first bike exhaust experiment (he's made quite a few car exhaust systems), so he's gonna get this one right.. I'm gonna make him :nono:

try a CBR250 with a roo racing pipe, K14 kept his on for a week I think before the bleeding ears got too much

After work I'll stop in at Hamilton Motorcycle Centre, and see what they have to say about it (ridiculously loud / how to quieten it down a bit, etc)

..and i've worked out what it sounds like.. below 3500rpm, s40, above 4000, loud motard..

Yeah I've got a Roo pipe on my cibby. Wakes the cages on the morning commute. Especially in the harbour tunnel!
