And where is the Rennsport in terms of riding style compared to the Racetech? I'm guessing similar peformance but one is road and the other is more track oriented?

I go supercorsa no matter what...

The racetech replaced the rennsport... rennsport is older technology, they dont make them much anymore as the majority of 120/70 and 180/55 are now racetechs... IMO racetechs handle like shit in the wet...

True what TS says Racetecs handle ordinary in the wet but are fantastic in the dry. If you are looking for a fst road/track tyre for winter get the new Metzeler Sportec M3s. Then get Racetecs for summer.

rennsports don't have a very gud reputation in the wet either...
I'll go piolet power or metzler M3's for you bro...you don't need race/trackday type tyres just yet...

Power race are bloody good in the wet too, and not bad in the dry either...

Racetec or Supercorsas are basically cut slicks. Or in other words, full on race tires. They are only desgined to go through a limited number of heat cycles. Ones they go through a few of them, even if you have pleanty of meat left, they don't stick like shit no more. My fast road riding buddies run these tires because they only ride once a week, only when they are blasting hard. A set lasts them approx 1500 kms or about 3 rides. So these guys are getting the most out of these tires. Then there is getting the heat into them in the first place. Since they don't have a lot of tread in them, it takes a little while longer for them to warm up to propper temperature and things can get a bit hairy in the wet if you are not carefull. Eg. You are just cruising along or comuting on Supercorsas and at the same time Two smoker is riding hard on the same tires. If you have to take evasive action (sounds so Si-Fi lol) for an obstical, you won't have the grip readily available at hand because your tires won't be upto temperatre from the speed you were traveling at. Where as Two Smoker could probably get his knee down in the wet while riding around that same obstical.

If you want to do a bit of road riding as well as comuting and want more KMs out of your tires, go with the powers. Even with quick hard riding motha fukas like LB, Powers can put out about 4000KMs in the winter. Like everyone else is saying, they are supposedly one of the best for wet conditions as well. Specially because of the tread pattern as well. They heat up faster for every day use and they are desgined for the road. So unlike race tires, they are unaffected by heat cycles problem.
