Hey guys and girls,
I've set up an online petition to get some formal support going for MotoGp coming to NZ.
If your interested, please visit the link below and sign up.
http://www.motogp.co.nz/supportnz/
If you can think of any more blurb to put on it, let me know. (leave out the horse jokes)
If we can get enough support and signatures we might be able to
persuade the woman and government in charge to do something about it.
It only takes a second, so come on, show your support for MotoGP coming to NZ.
Cheers for your support!

Absolutely keen as a very keen thing on the keenest day of it's life (yes, even if it had an automatic keen-machine) to get this thing rolling, give us a bell if you're doing anything else concerning this project and I'll help where I can. :msn-wink:

Oi Adrian,
Just a nerdy geeky tech question, how the hell would the government and Aunty Helen believe that the petition is real?
What if someone signs up 10 times with 10 names and 10 e mail addys, as you know there are so many idiots out there.
How is this a transparent procedure and idiot proof ?:innocent:

Hey boys and girls,
I've made changes to the site to allowing viewing all signatures, and changed the comments to allow people to leave a longer comment.
Unfortunately, during testing I lost all the comments already entered.
SO if you have already signed, please return and re-sign with the same email and name and your new comments will be added to your signature.
Cheers for your support

I could restrict it also by IP address?
I can't be bothered adding cookies or any major - anything has a work around if someone wants to post multiple times.
If you can code in PHP and MySQL I'll send you the file to add any extra security if you wish?

Are petitions restricted to one per household? or just one per person? Dependant on age? what are the restrictions for petitions?
I've got two other house hold members (soon to be three!) that I'm sure I can sign up for this =)

Thanks everyone for your support.
After just over two days we have over 600 signatures.
Some are hoax and double up's.
But for the sake of doing more hours of coding to restrict to one vote per IP address, it would restrict legitimate multiple votes from the same IP address (partner/friends/family).
Whatever security measures I put in place to stop dick heads from placing multiple votes, if they know what they're doing then, they would find a way to re-vote.
Thanks for you support and don't forget to spread the word to all your friends, family, work mates, ex partners, people you bump into on the street, that kind of thing.....
I could even get some t-shirts made up, saying SUPPORT MOTOGP in NZ or something much much wittier and funny.

I made up a poster to stick up around work to inform people about MotoGP and the Taupo hosting proposal. Here it is in case you wanna do the same. Feel free to modify it or whatever. Great to see the numbers on the petition rising.

Smorgen, are you completely retarded or something, every post i have read with your comments are "pure bullshit" if you have nothing constructive to say then i'll gladly buy you a one way ticket to Oz and bury you there - n00b.
You have no concept on the major/poisitive impact that introducing more motor sport to NZ would bring - does not money and jobs mean anything to you and credability on the international stage, it also means that more home grown talent can get wild card rides then hopefully make it to the big time. Slighty was one of the lucky ones to make it in WSB, but many others have failed. True bikers will always support this and petrol heads in general - obviously you are neither..go and pop a penguin in the arse @ Phillip Island.
