been having a little play around with streetfighter ideas for the gpx...

which one do you guys reckon looks better?

The naked option looks okay, probably would be better if the lower fairing looked less like a lower fairing and more like a belly pan.

What about indicimators?

Street fightes need dual headlights or a GSXR K style headlight or they just look gay

Headlight fairing.

I think that this here looks better than that second option.

That or a big fat single round one like bruces old TL had...

That's not a tough one....I'd stay with the fairing. A GPX is not exactly 'mean' enough for the streetfighter look.

i cant beleive you even asked. seems really obvious to me. Fairings all the way. The other looks like you just stacked it and can't be arsed putting it back together.

but it looks so pretty lol i just bought some indicators for it and put em on...it is looking nice...but it's getting new tank...gunna trim down the bellypan etc.... the existing headlight fairing was pretty buggered cosmetically...

and get her painted most likely
gloss black....

time will tell gunna have bit of a play around with it's looks

Damn i want a bike to use as a "street Fighter".

I want a ZZR250, as they have those COOL twin chrome mufflers!!

BTW, unless you get a propper Street fighter headlight, stay with the fairing.

Get rid of the fairing, it looks better. Get rid of the lower one to then paint the rest black.

Change those fugly rims while you're at it.

Thats my 10c (RIP 2c and 5c :bye: )

skidMark

Fairing. But I do like that twin headlight one you showed. The thing that spoils it on your bike is it just looks untidy between your light and the tank.

24th May 2006, 17:22
My honest opinion mark?? You're wasting your money on a little 250.

In a short while, you will be selling it, upgrading to something else, and bemoaning the fact that you have lost so much money from it.

Keep it stock, you will most likely want to upgrade when you realise the power of bigger bikes, and THEN turn something into your special baby or whatever...

stuff that, i like cutting through wind as opposed to plowing into it..

Your money is best in your own pocket. Leave it alone and flog it as soon as you can afford a new bike.

so is that with the fairing or without LOL

Mr. Peanut

Who cares, you can't see the fairing when you're riding can you? :nya:

Madness

The fairing might help you keep dry in winter. But then it never rains in Auckland anyway does it?

what the fuck man... You put your indicators like 10cm off the ground - and you wonder why you get hit by busses?

Dude, put it back to how it was, GPX just aint the bike for street fightering.

Attached is a pic of my ZXR as a 'streetfighter' the only reason being that i didnt have a set of full fairings yet.

i have built 3 purpose built streetfighters from scratch and i can honestly say a small fairing is better than none espeicially on a windy day.
