View Full Version : Palmy --> Masterton (and beyond?), sat afternoon
Hello all,
Me and my brother are looking at heading on a short ride to at least masterton on sat afternoon (27th). If the weather is good we'll go further. Expect a reasonable pace through the twistys but a civilised cruise on the straights, as we will be on a KR150 and a GN250.
Anybody is welcome, especially the smaller bikes.
Anyone interested?
Ben
You going over the 'Track' ben or through the Gorge?
I was born in Palmy and if i could be there i would, you may get the Ashurst/Feilding kber's looking to hook up...good luck and enjoy....
Thanks, I enjoy anytime on the bike!
I'm looking at the track on the way over, and maybe gorge back. I'm open to ideas from anyone who knows the area well though. I was looking at a map and if the weather is clear it looks like there is a good loop towards riversdale that could be an option.

may be interested if weather good(feel like i have served my apprenticeship with regards to the crap weather stuff) what time would you be setting off and meeting?will try and get my son along too,he has a 250 kat.
I agree about the weather - i've been keeping a close eye on the forecasts and they aren't all that wonderful. The afternoon looks much better than the morning though. I would be looking at meeting about 13:30, at the BP station down fitzherbert ave, used to be the blue moon something or other?
Keep an eye on this page, if its pouring with rain and not looking like easing in the morning we'll call it off.
Well its lightly raining here, but the forecast is for it to disappear and my mk1 eyeball predictor agrees with that. Also its supposed to be much better on the masterton side, so we'll go.
Blacksheep, and anyone else interested, it would be great to have you along.
13:30 meet time, Fitzherbert Ave BP station.
