For those of you that have the harold.. Enigma51/Logan is in it, pg 7 (A7), about diabetes and residency applications going wrong. Sad stuff, hope it all gets sorted out Logan!

And some non-english speaking potential taxi driver propably (i've been drinking) gets a spot because his third cousin twice removed had a refugee ticket.

Unbelievable.

Mind you, you know how it is with South Africans - less is more and all that

I was wondering if we started a petition or something to support their application if it would be helpful?

Good idea Jill, I'd sign it.

Logan is (underneath his smart arse exterior) a good, helpful person and his lady from the few times I've met her seems kind, intelligent and caring.

Hey Logan if you want anything like this (petition) set up, or if there is something else we can do, please just yell out OK??

Hope you get it sorted mate.

I hate beauracracies. Pity ya can't challenge those wankers to a race down 22 - if Enigma wins they get residency, if the dickheads win he gets deported for being slow.

Fight the bastards Enigma. Good luck.

Yep.. it sure is ruff. All the best in getting this sorted for the best! Just remember that you have lots of friends here in New Zealand.. and not all of us think as our government with its insane policies does.

Probably not, unfortunately, but I believe the Minister has power of discretion. Can someone confirm this? He can sorta act like an Ombusman and personally overrule the Ministry's decision. Been a couple high profile cases where She/He has become involved. All the best Logan. Hope you two can stay on.

One of the other reasons we got the herald involved cause everytime we personally go and see one of these guys they come back with we have to wait until decision is made before they can appeal :wait:

fookin hell, can you kiss any more arse??

You never say such gracious compliments about me...

Just make sure that after introducing yourself as Enema's support and character reference, you don't ride anywhere the Immigration Service case orificer eh? That would NOT help their case.

Oh my dearest (bloody) asian brother. How have you been??

Logan was a big help and provided a lot of good advice to me when I was looking for work after graduating some months ago.

He also stopped and helped me when a bolt fell out of my gear lever -no big deal in the grand scheme, but this was one of my first ever rides and I had less than 500kms riding experience back then, you know 1st impressions of KB'ers and all that. ( I now hear they are dicks though:shutup: )

He can be a bit of a short fuse at times, but he shouldn't have to be in this situation, he and Ms.Enigma don't deserve it.

P.S: I don't need to actually do anything these days to scare people, just knowing I'm around usually sends them into a panic.:blip:

Phenomenology becomes hermeneutical when its method is taken to be interpretive, rather than purely descriptive as in transcendental phenomnenology.

No,thats objectivism, silly. Your experience of the wheel falling off is phenomenology. The scientist asks "Which wheel, and why ?". The chicky asks "Did it hurt?" .The engineer asks "Do you want me to stick it back on". And the mechanic quietly goes and modifies all the other wheels so none of them will fall off.

Nah! The Mechanic sticks it back on and recommends an engineer has a look at it to see why it fell off. The Engineer redesigns the vehicle so that when the wheel falls off the other wheels compensate. The Scientist forms a hypothesis as to the probable reasons for the wheel to fall off and performs several experiments to establish his theory. The Chick does indeed ask if it hurt and where did it hurt and "Can I put something on that for you?"

But --- did you say it transcendentally or hermeneutically. That is the important question. Which? Choose, and choose well, much may rest upon your answer.

Logan

I remember you mentioning something about this previously. I'm really actually sorry to hear about what is going on. It is one of the last things that you both would ever need. I do hope that the residency thing works out in your favour, I really do.

Please let Nats know that I'm thinking of you both.

All my love and best wishes.

Yes, I admit, I had too look it up!

Suppose now I'll find the esteemed Mr Hitcher wrote, and maintains that site!!
Say, you people discussing this don't work for Labour perchance? Something to do with the unsubstantiative explanation....

Think he said "in two easy sentences"? Something like, "We see things differently according to our preconceptions arising from our personal backgrounds." And, "We're all individuals which colours our views". I could be oversimplifying things of course.:first:
