I figgure theres a few people who would love to buy a place at a track day for their partners or freinds .
Well for TD4 Im going to try something new.
Track day gift vouchers
---You pay The $100 for a spot and I'll send you out a gift voucher.
Whoever turns up on the day with the gift Voucher has their place in TD4
Anyone interested can contact me by PM or phone or e mail -The ticket will be sent in total confidence --I will simply note the place being taken on the confirmed attending list.
Just a little note the vouchers are for TD4 and arent transferable
If It works out Ill continue the service to other trackdays

Sorry I must be dense I really dont get your point.
I guess some unethical sort could make themselves a pretty profit by just buying places and selling em close to the day.

Any more details on full track yet?

That might speed up the registrations.....

Cheers

watch this space
to do full track i think ill need more like 100 riders --the logistics of that makes we whimper

Logistics shmistics...

Bring it on baby...

25 people per group... ditch the subway stuff and make people bring their own food, makes it easier for ya.

Sorry I must be dense I really dont get your point.

I couldn't see any constraints is to how the vouchers were used which leaves the idea open to all sorts of abuse, not just profiteering.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not even going to TD4 and have no interest in buying and reselling tickets.

I would be in for the voucher idea, I have a couple of deserving people in mind. This would be a great way to say thanks to both.

Quite happy to bring my own lunch.

Did my best Andy but there was a lot of lunches to order....

Gift voucher seems a good idea to me. I will be waiting by my letter box for the next 6 months :scooter:

Oh for sure... just making an observation that it would have been easier to organise if we just brought our own lunches...

Nice one Frosty, the full track is a worthwhile upgrade IMO.

If you purchased a gift voucher instead of a regular place at the track, would it be possible to sell that ticket to someone else if (for what ever reason) come November you are no longer able to make it to the track day?

And what happens if the voucher is misplaced? Would you keep a list of all the numbers and who purchased it in case one is lost? Obviously this would need to be fairly closely monitored by you to make sure no bastard tries to rip you off.

Did I hear talks of them putting up some pit buildings or something? Will these be up by November?

FROSTY
9th June 2006, 19:23
The gift vouchers will be numbered and accounted for.
There is nothing to stop them being onsold.
The idea really is for people like say stiffy wqanting to buy GG a prezzy -or trashy for riff raff--ya get the picture -the place is reserved the voucher goes out just like any other booking.
