A tip: My Cordura pants have a liner that is kinda gross if the conditions get a little warm. I would have worn polypropelyene (sp?) but I get powerful itchy when I get hot in it. I took a trip down to the Warehouse and found some 'thermal pants' that were made of polyester instead. They only cost about $10, not the usual $30. The polyester pants shouldnt be quite as hot either. Sweet.

They are pretty sweet under leather pants too.

What do wear under your kilt? :blip:

There's something about this post that's both alluring, and yet strangely disturbing at the same time.

Very few people get to find out what's under my kilt... and to be asked in an open forum...

tres strange...

Im a big fan of merino as a first layer.

It breathes better than any artificial fibre, and it doesnt smell as much (really useful if you are wearing it for days in a row).

downsides are that it is more expensive, and it takes a bit more looking after and slightly longer to dry. Both liveable with for the advantages.

I just apply talcom powder to the undersides of my balls before riding...stops the chaffing...and depending on the weather I may go commando, briefs, boxer's or even a G...

:TIP: if you hav no talcom powder....try sticking napkins to the back of your balls with double sided tape!

This thread combined with this thread (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=22357&highlight=GRUTS) should give us a fairly comprehensive picture of what kiwibikers wear down there!!

Just keep things nicely trimmed down there Sean and you'll be itch free:yes:

and as per poos' post - a bit of talc and you won't need to concern your self with slippage

Seriously, boxers. I tend to find when you shift your weight off the bike during cornering wearing briefs under corduras you tend to squash the trouser eel of dooms luggage!

And you don't want to squash the matching luggage, right guys?

I use a knee scraper on each testicle for superior handling.
OK, OK, cycle shorts can work well for longer trips

Errrr..... thanks for sharing Lou. Although over a few drinks the other night, one of the guys was saying he couldn't wear silk boxers anymore cos he spent the whole time with a raging hardon!

Since you boys want to know, I wear those boy-leg, girly boxer style knickers on the bike. Don't get those undy munching episodes that can make a ride uncomfortable. Sometimes wear a G, but get all paranoid at the lack of covering on my buttocks in the event of a slide.

skelstar
29th May 2006, 11:52
Woo, cycle shorts. Thats a good idea. You sportsbike riders need the extra padding I guess.

The knee scraper idea is a goody too of course.;)

This would be JUST the G then?
If so, I'll follow you on the next ride.

For what it's worth I wear Katmandu lycra shorts with a brushed lining on the bottom half...

On the top half I usually go for a black lacy number with just a little lift...

What do wear under your kilt?

That sounds far too much like a pick up line in a scottish gay bar:blah:

What I wear really depends on the weather. If it is average, thermal liner and boxers, if cold, thin pants under thermal liner.

On a long trip it's my old long johns under the DryRiders. Just need to plan ahead in case there will be a need to walk around for a while to make sure the jeans are handy as the long-johns are not attractive to be seen in.
Apart from that I like the Daniel Carter type undies as opposed to boxers as they send to stop the goodies wandering into awkward spots, especially while you're crouched over the tank.

Okay, I just read 3 pages about men's underwear. The only hint of heterosexuality were brief moments of flirtation with Riff's bare ass cranked over the tank and Keystone's perky breasts in 200km/h wind. Thanks Sean, you've undone all the good work that beaver video I just watched built up.

I was in the doctors surgery a while back and picked up one of those womens mags as one does in those establishments, and it gave a list of things that women and men do to flirt, The womens list was too bloody long to read and the guys list was only 2 items
The 1st one on the guys list was to constantly re-arrange the "package" to show how damned big and uncomfortable it is and I forget the other one now, maybe it was "wanna fuck" or something!

BabyB, will the blurry pics be from you laughing so hard?

I would like the thank the 'lady' who I followed down the gorge a few weeks ago.
Sitting in the cage and watched a black CBR lane split. Black helmet, black leathers , and a nice gap between the pants and the jacket with a very very nice red lacy thong.
Brightened my morning up I can tell you.:blip:

black polyprop helps heaps with the cold, recently bought a Macpac softshell type tight cut jacket to wear under my 1 pcs. Makes it much more enjoyable (warmer) in winter (wind proof, and almost totally waterproof)
