With my smell of a shoe string racing budget I have to make every dollar count.
I've been dealing with this outfit in the States now for a few years and they give me incredible service at an amazing prices.
My latest order for my 1989 ZXR750 Postie bike consisted of a heavy duty Kevlar racing clutch complete with heavier springs, a K & N air filter and 4 main jets for the carbs. The whole lot landed cost me a paltry $300 NZD and arrived only 4 days after ordering it!!! They cut down on excess packaging to save on freight too, bless em!
The name is Dennis Kirk and their web address is http://www.denniskirk.com
Take time to register, then select your make and model of bike/s and then go searching, you will only see kit for your bike from their dizzying array of products.
NZ shops quoted me $12 for one main jet and told me, thats a sharp price mate, but wait, they had to be back ordered from Japan. :nono:
Dennis Kirks price, only $3.50 NZD per main jet, with loads in stock!!!
I've made several orders over the years for a range of bikes, they have never once stuffed me around and the orders are always here within 5 to 6 days, the latest being a record!
Oh, check out their E-bay discount store at http://stores.ebay.com/DK-Trader
I got a pair of racing gloves for $50 nzd I'd seen retail for over $300 here in NZ! I see at the moment they have BIEFFE RACING X-TECH MOTO CROSS STYLE HELMETs for only $30 NZD, see what I mean, insane!!!:gob:

Here is a USD to NZD conversion site.....

Watch the helmets. DOT models are only legal here if manufactured in the States.

Do they service bikes too?

I don't see any mention of that on their site, I'd imagine it would cost a tad more for an oil change to send ya bike over to the USA. However, if the honda riders want to be tidy kiwis, they could always send their bikes off shore :devil2:

When has anyone ever had a helmet checked by anyone on the road? I am sure LTSA only picked a few random standards by chance and any new helmet of a reputable brand is going to be betterer than the 30 year old bell your grandfather gave ya.

Perhaps, until the LTNZ wakes up and pressures the Polis to do helmet checks.
It'll only take one of their policy wonks to be cut off by a biker in a Nazi helmet and bingo!

Last time I was stopped for a reg and WOF check without either the pom import cop waved me through after checking.

Always could just get the right sticker and whack it on the helmet you get.

Warehouse stationary have beaten you to it, you can get DOT's by the box full, in just about any colour you like. Cheap, too.

Great site thanks for the link. I have always had good service from US based firms , they tend to be very serious about customer service.

Will the last person that leaves NZ please turn the lights out. You are making business in NZ less viable, before you perhaps get off an emotional high horse just sit down and actually think why things are the way they are. The NZ industry has to serve a very small pool of people, how in the bloody hell do you expect that they can have everything in stock? Also bear this in mind, recognised distributors ( commercial operators ) always pay gst and the full raft of clearance charges on goods they import. These very people also provide employment for Kiwis and a level of after sales service to their customers. The greatest percentage of private / casual imports incur no clearance charges or gst. Is that right? I think not.

Much as I hate Cullens guts ( short ass self satisfied little wanker with a big W ) I think he needs to be made well aware of this ''wonderful'' taxation opportunity he is missing.

You cannot have your cake and eat it too.

It must be my computer that stuffed up the order - the internet can do no wrong...

All the other online stores that stocked my gasket set wouldn't ship to NZ,but Coyote had every country in the world listed on their site....but I don't think they have ever shipped out of the US before, they didn't have a clue.It has most likely gone surface mail and dropped into some postal worker's back pack.....
