Hey
Just a question about my Honda CBR 250. I want to remove my petrol tank. I have taken out the bolts and can lift the tank up a little way. My question is, how do I disconnect the fuel line without pouring fuel everywhere?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Yeah i have done that but I was thinking there will still be some fuel in the line. And it appears to be a hose clamp connecting it to the tank. Easy enough to get off but would be real hard to get back on.

Turn off tap. Loosen clamp, Remove hose from tap. Normally the hose just sits there sticking up.At most it might contain a teaspoonfull or so of petrol, no issue. Some bikes don't have an "off" position on the tap , those taps are controlled by engines vacuum. There will be a second (or third) hose going to the tap. Basically, turn tap off if it has an "off", remove all hoses.
Sometimes taps leak, I stick a suitably sized twist drill up the hose hole. The tank will be quite heavy, don't drop it. If your bike has a fuel gauge there may be an electrical connection on the botom of the tank, you may not be able to see it or reach it until you lift the tank up.
There may also be an overflow hose somewhere,
But there is no special gotcha, just remove all attached bits and lift clear.
