I sit back and I close my eyes
lookin back at all the lows and all the highs
Through the black and white and in between
all the miles ive walked
the wars ive fought
and all ive seen
It all seems like yesterday
like a bird, time just flies
no sooner than you said hello
its time, its time, its time to say goodbye
Consumed by worry, stress and fear,
never leanring to live
weighed down by wondering why we're here
collected memories
all thats in the end
i guess a sense of peace wasnt meant for some, my friend
it all seems like yesterday
like a bird, time just flies
no sooner than you said hello
its time, its time, its time to say goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
it all seems like yesterday
like a bird, time just flies
no sooner than you said hello
its time, its time, its time to say goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye

I only just made it home safely mate. Couldn't see shit on the roads due to heavy rains all the way from Hamilton to the top of the Kaimais.
Only made it home alive due to a very curteous cage driver, more on that in a minute.
But the shitty miserable ride home was well worth it for the concert.
MY first proper concert in five years and my first moshpit ever!
Freaking intense!! Loved every minute of it They played 3 of my four favorite songs. Suicide Messiah, Stilborn and In This River. Saw a guy holding up a Texas flag on the other side of the pit during In This River and good on him. Perfect way to show respect for Dimebag during a song written in his memory. Had my lighter up and high during that song myself. Having met Dimebag and partied with him at Pantera's strip club back in Texas I was upset as hell hearing about his death.
Good to hang out with others there aswell, Lias though we lost each other before the opening act left the stage was still good to know you were there and enjoying yourself.
Me and Slash spent almost the whole show down in the pit and somehow with all the movement in the crowed we ended up next to Outlawtorn. Then a big circle just opend up in front of us for some real moshing. Slash, who is normaly this really calm and collected individual, surpsied the hell out me by becoming this wildman and fully getting into the energy of the music and crowed, and I was right alongside enjoying it everybit asmuch as he was.
A great weekend spent with great mates, nothing better could be asked for.
