Well 15 put on a show for a bit but Rossi's prediction from the bahrain race a couple of seasons back still holds true. A brilliant race from reds out to chequered flag!

was glad to see Rossi win on infront of his home crowd they went absolutely crazy! While Sete's spark was alive i would have also liked to see him stick it to rossi :D Also great effort from Loris he powered up from 8th to stick in first for a while would have also loved to have seen him win but Rossi was a awesome sport and got him his glory.

Mugello truely is my favourite circuit. Every year the MotoGP race there is more like a 250, with at least 4 racers truely vieing (sp?) for the lead. Great viewing.

Good to see Rossi has appeased the biker gods and they have stopped fucking with him. Was almost exactly the result I was hoping for, except wanted Melandri up in third for the Italian 1-2-3.

Going to Mugello should be on everyone's top 10 list of things to do before they die. Right up there with Isle of Mann.

Poor old de Angelis in the 250's really did choke on the last bend. Hopefully he learnt his lesson and can get his first win under his belt soon.

What a great season of racing this is turning out to be.

Would have to have been some of the closest racing I've seen for a long time, to see Rossi go wide and have four riders push up was awesome, I was on the edge of my seat.

Bummer to see Casey Stoner go.... a least it was in stylish fashion you'd have to say.

yeah it was an awesome race.
Rossi's riding up till the point where the 5 bikes got past him looked like he was going a bit wide on most corners, not holding such a tight line.
But then after that point he seemed to be holding tighter lines, looked like he was riding better (to me at least).

Thanks for putting rossi's post race interview up, they don't show them on tv here. :niceone:

See rossi took my advice and wore a neck warmer like I had on here http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5497&d=1102837509

Beauty sleep is wasted on me anyway, so I watched it and loved it. Did anyone else wonder what the Fark happened to make Rossi slow down like that? What a star to make it back from 5th like that.

I dont think there was much between the front 5 for that section a small mistake and it was better for him to tack back on the rear than risking dropping it trying to push back in.

If you watch the interview, rossi said he "lost the feeling" and nearly crashed in front of gibernau, so closed the throttle for a tiny bit and ended up in 5th place.
If you watch the footage, his bike wobbles slightly as he is leaned over aproaching the corner and he goes wide after that. Maybe the tyres lost grip a bit or something?

Yeah, I was wondering if something was wrong mechanically at the time but he made such a great recovery I figured it had to be a traction thing or something. 'lost the feeling' huh,
Last time I lost the feeling it was all over bar the trip to the hospital. lol
Great race to watch tho.

He got taken for a blast by Randy Mamola on the two seater Desmoseidici.

not the new prototype with its vertical exit exhausts where a pillion would normally sit!

Nah it's the 2004 race bike with a pillion seat.

Saw the exhausts exits for the first time on the Caparossi onboard shots, looked quite cool the two chrome outlets flanking an itialian flag!

Gibernau was riding a good race but the the reason he fell behind for a bit was that he had a problem with one of his boots and it got warn right down to his toe and scraped his toe. Once he adjusted his riding style he made a bit of a come back but it wasnt enough.
