From what I have read - tobacco sponsorship bans wont come in in europe for a few years. Possibly an internal thing

heres a few links that go a aways to explaining the politics behind it.

Yep, Great race. The Doctors BACK!!!:first: I wonder if a bit of psychology was in play when he let them thru then proceeded to pass them for the win.:nya:

Yep, special commemorative colour scheme for this race only. I thought they looked pretty good, a nice change from the boring red and white.
I think Rossi was surprised to go from lead to 5th when he shut off the throttle in that one corner. He was hilarious after, did you see him describe it? He was working pretty damn hard to win that one for sure. This year, he doesn't have the luxury of playing silly buggers for a while and then wicking it up, does he? Great racing so far. I'm going to watch this one again, it was a classic.
Cheers

That was the best race I've seen in a long time, really exciting. The Doctors last move was brilliant - he picked it up and shut the door straight away, then settled down to stretch it out.Confirms that the guy can dig deep and get a result,no one else can get that much from themselves or a bike. How the hell did Caporossi stay on that Ducati? It was shaking everywhere, even down the straight, you can't say he didn't have the balls to try.Stoner has the reflexes of a cat! The bike is spinning and destroying itself....and he just stands up and walks away, wow!

I wasn't impressed with the Ducati colour scheme either - Yamaha did a much better job last year.

I'm with you there, both Yamaha's yellow/black and white/red schemes were fantastic.

I thought maybe he had missed a gear, found an extra neutral so to speak. That'd do it.

In the press conference after I think he said he came close to touching someones wheel, so closed the throttle briefly.
