If you look closer at the picture you'll notice it is a 250cc.
It's quite a slow bike, and almost as heavy as a modern 600cc, but with ~45hp at the most. :motu:
Karma
5th June 2006, 22:08
Yes that's true Peanut... but the guy who owns it has the worlds smallest dick, and so saves a lot of weight which means he'll whip a few people around the twisties.
(As long as it's not hannukah or anything)
You two are both fags.
Peanut that zx2r has a weight of 160kg exactly wet and full fuel... modern 600 is 164~ish dry. +15-20kg fuel/oil coolant etc or so and more inertia and you have a 600. No competition weight wise. But yes they make about 3.5x the hp, nuff said.
And weasel you are getting a nipple gripple when I see you next, and you too probably tex.. better keep that leather on huh :blip:

Not you mate... common uses for brakes include slowing to below the speed limit in a residential area, and braking to avoid hitting cars, two things it seems you don't do :p

its actually the opposite...
"oh look its a chick... she doesn't know what shes doing... I'll just tell her this $20 part costs $90 and she won't even know"
*has to phone about 7 different places for quotes, then pick the cheapest one... SOOOOOOOO many people (all men) have tried to sell me stupidly over priced parts...

Seems to be a happening thing amongst the ZXR crew, Tristanks one leaks, and Texmos one too.
placidfemme
6th June 2006, 16:04
yeah, proberly something to do with the age of the ZXR's and the fact that pretty much more than 40% of the ZXR's on the market are re-builds from accidents... which is a shame really because they are such great bikes...
But just watch this space (or rather my thread in tuning and fixing), my ZXR will be done in about 2 months... (or less if someone wants to give me some money lol)

engine braking fo life
Yes but not the low siding into a kerb type of engine braking...or getting run over by a bus type of engine braking...:doobey:
You still thinking bout changin the colour of your rims or are ya gonna leave them that lovely shade of ghey? :nya:
Yes I will be getting back to you about that in 3.7 weeks when I get paid (I'm out at ardmore full time course so no $$$ for me till I get back to work.)
Does it leak?
No, fixed that on saturday you poof, fixed breather hose and changed oil and cleaned air filter. And washed it twice. Now it does not heat up and thin out after sitting off the clock :blip:
Seems to be a happening thing amongst the ZXR crew, Tristanks one leaks, and Texmos one too.
That's cus we ride our bitches hard. And don't change oil as much as we should... and it thins out. Sigh.
And placid I'm up for a 'fastest in a line' test ;) I bet i'll take it unless the weight advantage you have wins out.. hrrmm... Is yours speed limited still?

I took one of these for a test ride today for a mate who is looking at it as his first bike.
I thought the clutch was slipping it was going so slow. :scooter:
nice and light though. Probably a bunch of fun in the corners - and heaps lighter for commuting.

lol and the good news is I don't have to prove i have a huge cock. So I won't be taking you up on your challenge... :blah: So you win by default!
But yeah my bike has a rev limiter, quarter turn throttle, but a biggish rear sprocket so take off is fast, but top end ain't so great... the fastest I've pushed the bike is 175kph (on new not scrubbed in tyres... so the bike was really bouncy... kinda scared me off the throttle, also not knowing the roads we were on didn't help), my ex-flatmate (who used to own the ZXR before me) dragged it off with her biker mates (not KBers) and apparantly she got it just past 200kph... which I would believe :)
Also by the time I'm done fixing it up, she's gonna have a new racing chain, new rear sprocket, high performance spark plugs (used to have them but put in normal ones when trying to get her started again)... but yeah also getting the ZXR dyno'ed when she's road legal, then again after I've added all the bits... so i'll see if what i've added makes a difference power wise or not... i'll keep you updated :)

Well are you going to make it to manfeild to show me that my CBR250 is "Just a Honda" compared to your ZXR? In all seriousness though, just wondering if you are going to be able to get everything organised in time for the 17th?

Good shit texmo. Can't wait to race against you down there. I just hope my little engine holds up, it only runs on 2 or 3 cyinder's when I start it up, but once it's warm it seems to run pretty good, especially at revs. I'm going to finish adjusting HDTboy's wreck engine, and will put that in after this meeting.
