Complete original bike, runs well, great condition. Also comes with pod filters as wel as original airbox (not fitted). Have also purchased a workshop manual for it that will go with the bike. Not road legal at present but could be made so easy. Sad to see it go, but I'm wanting to finance something else and the only way I can is to sell one of my toys :bye: However should it not sell I won't be heart broken either :whocares:

$3000-00 ono, needs to be picked up. :blip: First with the cash takes the cake and eats it too...

I had a white blue and red mid 80s RZ350LC that we did alot of work on and had it going mint. Used to race my mate who had the black blue and red one and would leave him for dead. Had a 81 RD250LC when I was a teenager and I was after another one of those and ended up with this. If it does not sell I'm going to do some work to it to pep it up a tad. Will not be for sale if I do the work to it though. If someone has got some motard rims for my DRZ I would be keen for a swap + cash.

What's the mileage? What does it need to be road legal?

However to get it road legal it'll need to be re-regoed, probably close to WOF standard. Don't know if it's had any work done to it, but a bike that age I'd suspect so. Was going to rebuild the motor if I was going to keep it as a collection piece.

Hmmm- its in too good a nick for what I'd want to do with it :devil2:
Shameless self promotion time: anyone looking at buying it please note that I can do a pair of piston kits for one of these for $207.40, so don't go thinking it'll cost a fortune to give the motor a freshen up. Ahem... as you were.

I do not have an issue with what is done with the bike once it has gone to a new owner. Tis there to be done with what ever the new owner wishes.

If I can't get back what I payed for it them I'll have to hold onto it. I'm keen on a set of motard rims for the DRZ, which I could live without if needed. Happy to take the bike to a local transporting company should anyone need it transported to them, at your cost of course.

These are pretty hard bikes to get hold of these days, I know as it took me ages to get this one...

:( The tard rims have now been sold and thats that. I really don't care if I keep this bike or not. Should I still have it once Ive got some more money to play with I'll be tidying it up the way I want and keeping it. If your thinking about it, think quickish as it will not be up f/s for long.

We were riding RD's in the 80's. Only a few of us had the LC model though, most had the air cooled model. I remember the white RD400's very fondly as well.

Look at the base of the barrel on the outside it will have the size cast into it, also it will have a 3 letter/number code cast into the intake on the barrel in front of the carb

RD250LC only had a single disc as well

TonyB
16th June 2006, 21:28
According to my lists, which could have to odd typo, RD350LC should be a 4LO, 250 should be 4L1 (based on Japanese codes tho I guess)

I've pm'd and gave you every chance, you have a 350lc last registered as such, it was registered as a yamaha rd350lc when last registered, but not with that particurlar 350 engine, the engine no. and frame no. don't match and they are 250 frame numbers and engine no.s with 350 barrels , twin front disc,s and 350 rear wheel, so it is a 350 as was registered apart from numbers, I would happily sort anything out for you, just ask and don't be an arse, you complete fucking wanker, contact the seller if you have a problem??? you got a good bike and 2 months later you want to sell it? I told you bring it back here and I'd have it and you tell me come down there and pick it up, DICCCCCCCCCCCCCK

If you sold an item advertised as a RD 350LC then it should include all genuine articles, not parts from another Motorcycle.

If you did not include these exceptions in the auction description text then you misleadingly sold an article, putting you in the wrong.

Your response above could be seen as a confession to that act.

In a court of law you are going to have two options, one is to refund the purchase amount in full or to refund the difference in price to reflect a realistic sale price.

It would be up to Inlinefour or the Police to prosecute you for any criminal acts, such as fraud, if they saw reason.

but everthing about the bike says its a RD250LC, everything.] Not much point agrguing is there? Id like the 350LC I paid for as what I have sure aint that I paid for and I can prove i even, why would the seller be u this time of the morning arguing about it. Im fed up. I PMed you the time frame to expect me to contact your employer. Up to you if you wish to sort this out, I have been more than fair...

Contact his employer? how is he involved in this?

Do you actually know what the difference between a 250LC and 350LC is ?

Frames are the same, bottom ends are the same 250 has a single front disc the 350 has a twin, it certainly wasn;t uncommon to turn 250's into 350's, they are a couple of parts away from being an Identical bike

but everthing about the bike says its a RD250LC, everything.
Have yout checked the casting on the barrel and confirmed the capacity yet?

If you sold an item advertised as a RD 350LC then it should include all genuine articles, not parts from another Motorcycle. These particular bikes are so similar, it's hard to agree with that... other than the ID stamping, it's essentially the same box of parts. IL4, have you looked at the casting on the barrels? What capacity does it state? If it's 350cc, have a party :doobey: Can't find the capacity, take the head off and measure the bore... it's really the only thing that matters, the 250 and 350 are essentially the same bike :) (and it'll give you more ammo in court if it is in fact a 250)

it is 350, the guy should have had it checked out by a mechanic before he started to blast off and say I sold him a 250

imdying
19th June 2006, 10:24
That depends of course on why he wants one... if he genuinley wants a 350LC to blast about on, then the motor capacity is all that matters. However, they're quite collectable, and he wants it to keep to flog later for more money, then there's a big difference between a 250 repower and a genuine 350. Me, I'd be happy with a repower, but not everyone wants to own it just to ride it.

Really, I thought you noticed it after Gav gave you a link and told you it was a 250, if you're looking to restore a bike then engine/model numbers should be the first thing you check
