thanks guys,

the little lady gained a couple of extra cc's over the winter:blip: now she has a bit more than 130ps at the rear wheel:yes: that's not bad for an old V-twin and if I get the throttle bodies machined and a proper dyno run together we might hit the 140mark:doobey:

might be enough to scare most 916 riders and some jap riders as well:shutup:

Nah, it's a motorcyclist thing! Good looking bike, and impressive power figure as well. Enjoy, although I'm sure you will.

have you tried moving the injector jets outside the chambers, its a mod that Fogarty did when he was running the Dukes in WSB a few years ago....gives more air and mixture.

JESUS NOW I HAVE SOME PORN FOR THE NIGHT THANKYOU.

Always loved these puppies and always wanted one, but for me 15-16k could get a 636 and I could be a sheep... or get one of these. Sigh.

What mods did you do to it, that's a decent amount of power outta that little thing.. sheesh. Not a ladies bike anymore eh?

they call them shower injectors and are pretty much standards for all duc's:nya: , R's and all race bikes, not really that good for low speed:nono:

but you can't have everything

duc's either you love or hate them, if I don't care about the desing and the V twin story I would go for a new 750RRzuzi  or R1:shutup:  but here I am:scooter: :scooter:

good thing about late 748S or R's the have the same crank cases, lower ends .... as the big bikes (916, 996) just a bit of weight reduction and balancing for this part nessessary. heads are ported out to the end (vlv's untouched), compression up by .7, 853 big bore kit with pistal pistions, cam shafts retimed (lob center), lighter pulley's, lighter clutch I guess that's it for the engine. I have two EPROMs one for track use and the second one for the road, the track thing comes from Ioannoni and he is doing the engines for some duc SBK teams. The Road Eprom is from EVR and he is running two R's in the junior class. Ioannoni has one 853 running with 154ps:gob: , but you go nuts on puplic roads.

Duc’s are know for there understatement :blip: the standard 748R comes with 105 horses at the clutch but I had two dyno’s done (before the mods) with 108 and 112 rear wheel  It’s just nice to know I care more about the torque and the lady went up from 77Nm to 96 and that makes the difference. I had a nice 900monster running for years with 88Nm and she was always good to shock some jap’s high tec bikes, unfortunately I had to leave her behind :bye: and now one kiwi has the burden to set the pace:first:

The current set up isn’t for road use and she misbehaves as soon as I let the rpm drop below 7000. I have to go for a more civilised EPROM and get the DB eaters back in, I’m tired to leave the house at 530 in the morning to find some empty roads. Might be worth moving back to NZ, so I can sleep in and having fun:doobey:

Are you sure about 112 on the back wheel near standard ?.
I'm lucky to push 110 bhp (129 crank) with full Arrows , FIM RS chip and 748RS cams / Corse Valves and it's acheiving similar results to the Moto one guys in Aus.
You possibly have the quickest "street" 748R in the world.
Want to share your secret please :blip: :blip: :blip:

sunshine I was surprised as well, I’ve got a dyno sheet at home and it was done before and after the big bore was fitted. I will be at work tomorrow so I can scan and post it to you if you want too.

maybe you have been just unlucky  I have a couple of friends running 748r's with a similar output but I have to admit my lady is doing really well. the dyno was done with an intermediate exhaust system (silmotor) and dialed cam's. This run was just for fun and to find out if I have done a half a descent job plus we needed a set up for the break in period. I think you have lots of variables and for that, many possibilities to miss some extra kw or ps. For example, my old 900monster was perfectly running in Europe but she couldn’t handle the fuel in NZ. There was no way to have a nice trip on 92oct, 95 was just about all right in the winter time and slow riding but usually we had to stop for 98 or use some booster stuff.

Important is to have fun, doesn’t matters if you have 105 or 150ps as long as you drive a ducati:yes:
