if one of these came here..
or i lived in the US..

Story is; The Oklahoma State Police is now using superbike machines as a police interceptor...the Suzuki Hayabusa Police Interceptor.

The police officer who will be operating this fast freakin bike will be trained at California Superbike School. And it is only a matter of time until the other states will be doing the same thing. So it doesnt matter if you have a Enzo or R1,ZX10R,GSXR1000 etc. your still getting chase down.

Could just be the reflections, but those pix look seriously photoshopped....
and the designer wasn't particularly imaginative either.

And this is how MotoGP StreetRacing is started.. 6 or 7 people going on a cruise, and suddenly, a high and mighty cop on a superbike decides.. LET'S GO, shall we.. and suddenly, it's an all out race, they do it for 10 minutes (or so), they all stop at a pub and have a pint, and the cop shouts them :D (hehe, silly imagination)

Hmm as sazlex posted yeah you will need turbo bus's to do runners now in the States. But the chances of coming across a busa god squad... not likely.

They would have to put the right rider on one, other wise carnage.
I'm guessing Bikey Cop would soon deplete the Government surpluss through excessive tyre wear if he were to get one :nya:

would have thought the Iine of thought the long line of Police willing to work for free in exchange for riding one of those would cover the cost of fuel & tyres.

I would think of signing up to ride one of those! Hell the lessons alone would be worth it. Can you imagine the amount of shit you could get away with?

english highway patrol already have blackbirds, is the extra 10km/h top speed really going to make it that much better?

and 'outrun' a busa on a zx-14? hardly. have you read the comparison stats on these bikes? have you ever been for a ride on either of them?

Will you still want one after a wet shift in South Auckland on the diesel spills, tar snakes and blind pollies? Will you have a chiropractor on retainer too?

bring on the ZX14 then :bleh:

Flashers and siren are worth more than .5 km/h faster top speed.

I would =) have not even scared myself stupid yet.
If you approach it like a good womans nipple its not too scary.....

Eg 5 degrees twist is gentle, tender and loving another 5 degrees on the other hand unleashes unprecedented violence and fury.
Only try the second 5 degrees if you sure you can stay on.....:blip:

Trust me, an 8 or 9 hour shift in foul weather is a bit different to a commute. Especially towards the end, when all you want to do is get home, dry off and have a relaxing tipple. That's when they getcha. (cages that is)

You don't do full shifts? We did that with plastic kit that leaked like sieves and had all the thermal properties of a fridge.
No wonder you guys want tasers and pepper spray and guns, you've all gone soft.

Are you sure? Ive just been there and the pursuit bikes i saw were honda sp's, though each county does have its own vehicles they told me thats the mainstay superbike the cops use.

Yep, I've got a picture of one at home somewhere. Used extensively to chase down errant bikers in the Lake District. I'm told that they also have a Fireblade up there.
