For the first time since I've had my bike (since September) I'm bottling it and not riding to work. Gawd, it's just disgusting out there.

Excellent call. Too many people think they have something to prove and don't want to appear chicken. If you're not happy with riding in that shite then don't (assuming you have an alternative that is! :))

The positive side of all this weather is........snow on the mountains! :doobey:

Yeah, well it's cleared up _now_ hasn't it? Besides, I needed reminding of exactly ... how ... tortuously ... slow ... it is using a cage. And nine bucks for parking. NINE! Sheeat!

Ha, at least you didnt have to take a bus! :( Damn I forgot how much those things suck! Im sure it costs more to take the bus than the bike - a bus costs $2.50 to town compared to $12 for 150km's with the bike... And yes bloody Murphy strikes again, the weather seems to have settled a bit now...

Today was heaps better than yesterday.

My draft excluder gave up when I got bogged in inner city traffic. It was like looking through a goldfish bowl.

Morning Riffer :)

Harden up... I rode in today without any probs (of course, I am in Auckland, so that may make a difference :blah: )

It sure was fun on SH2 this morning. Dark as a dark thing and bloody wet. Probably should have put my clear visor on.

My gear is still dripping away beside my desk, and I'm hoping it dries befroe I set off home.

I'd still rather ride in the wet than sit in my car stuck in a queue.

Call me a pussy cause there's no way I'm riding in this shit with cagers that can't see cause their windows are fogged up and they end up driving worse than they normally do.

was going to take the bus but then I realised I would be packed into the thing with all the unwashed masses so took the bike instead. A lot of idiots on the roads though

Good thing is that the rain washed all the cow poo off. My rear shock has a yellow spring again.

The waves coming over the causeway on the North Western carpark [oops, "Motorway"] were impressive this morning!
As was the lean angle to keep upright...

With 300 sets of traffic lights out at the moment, I'm glad I'm not driving a cage today!!!:first:

I rode to the conditions, which I didn't think were particularly bad. Best part is that so many didn't share my optimism and gave me a pretty easy parking space. Would have been even easier if some plonker on a street magic wasn't parked in the perfect spot. I'm waiting for the expected southerly change on the way home... that might make me regret riding today ;)

Started before 7:00am and missed all the heavy rain just a light sprinkle on the way in (angels tinkle)
looking forward to a southerly change (may the wind be always at your back) on the way home
