I have heard from sources (local shop) that it is canola oil.

I heard the same thing by word of mouth today. Apparently at some stage the only by-pass was to use the Pahiatua Track or Manawatu Gorge. With the heavy showers of today, I'd be keeping an eye on the shingle in the gullies above Paekakariki. Aaaah, winter in Welly - don't you just love it?

hmmm, i heard on the radio this mornin that it was parifin (sp?) oil.

not that i'll be heading out there anyway..
