That makes me soo sad, those are supposed to be wild animals living in the wild (duh). They look like there well looked after and all that however what happens when there natural instincts kick in and they attack there owners...

Does that make them faster? We also send it to Cowpoos, he'd be happy to give it a big bore tail pipe.

Whats wrong? People lead too much of a sheltered life if you think thats cruel. I would rather have one of these protect me than one of those pitbull fuckers.
I reckon Fishslayer has hit the spot, I wonder if I can import one............

I was meaning more when the animals "wild" instincts come back to them and the animals attack their owners... Like I said the animals themselves look very well looked after.

Most wild animals can have that "fight back" instinct bred out of them with the correct upbringing...
Cheetahs make really good pets..
Only doesn't work with leopards. For some reason when they become "teenagers" (about 1.5 years old) they will kill anything that moves.
hahaha one of the cheetah parks back in saffa land had some trained hyenas they used for adds and stuff. Make the funniest sounds ever. Although you should see what they do to cast iron pans

Actually, can't remember if I heard right, but apparently Hyenas can be difficult to tell the males from the females; as the latter come equipped with a 6-inch clitoris. Now THAT'S SCARY.

Awesome country my ass. Those animals are treated like shit and are used for fighting. The chains should be on the tall dark baboons..chained to a tree in the bush with loads of lions.

See in NZ, thats what we like to call an opinion... One that I dont agree with hence the sarcastic apology from me. However because it is YOUR opinion it would not be right for me to disagree with you as its your opinion. I dont like that you can flame someone for their opinion (one that I do agree with) but then try and enforce your OPINION as correct. Opinions are opinions, neither right or wrong but values that makes someone what they are.

True, but my opion had grounds and was aimed at a previous commet. His opinion was airy and could have been linked to any previous comment.
People have different opinions all the time. Just look at that thread that SARGE started about terrorism. I think that the people who disagree with the US's way of war in immoral. I call them idiots but thats just my opinon.
I voiced the fact that he made no point even though it was his opinion.

I thought it would have been fairly self-explanitary actually. But if you insist.
Here a couple of internet images depicting animals in chains for what could only be amusement, perhaps even to the financial benefit of their human captors. One of the Hyaenas appears to have a muzzle over its mouth, obviously as a result of it showing disapproval of the situation. These images are not shocking to many, as the abuse of animals for entertainment is a world-wide phenomenon. Animals that have not been domesticated over many generations (dogs and cats) are being humanised and some species are being threatened as a direct result. I happen to think it's bizarre that if a kiwi scientist in a lab wants to genetically modify a corn plant in the pursuit of feeding the hungry (probably the bloke in the picture's uncle) he has to gain approval from an ethics commitee at the very least. At the same time all over the world, some guy and his mate are doing their bit to upset the eco-system by threatening the delicate balance of nature. My dogs walk on a leash, I do not carry a six-foot stick when I walk them because they are a domesticated animal end of story.
No good getting excited about it, I'm no hippy, but I'm fucked if I'm not going to voice my opinion because that's all I've got to offer those poor animals while I sit here, all nice and warm in my sheltered NZ cage. In fact it's so fuckin cold I'm not going to walk the dogs tonight, I'm gunna sit here and whinge. :blip:

Spotted hyenas are the largest member of the family Hyaenidae. This family also includes three other hyena species, the aardwolf (found in south, east and northeast Africa); the striped hyena (Hyaena hyaena), found in northern Africa, southwest Asia and India; and the brown hyena (Parahyaena brunnea), which is found in limited areas of southern Africa, except most of South Africa. Many researchers consider hyenas the evolutionary 'link' between dogs and cats but more closely related to cats.
And I thought they were dogs and now it seems that they may also be PUSSIES..! The pit bulls are safe with their reputation..

Looks farkin painful.
I watched the Chimps at Welly zoo getting fed last time I was there. The keeper was talking to family type groups, maybe 100 people?? One of the young male chimps was using a hole in a dead tree-trunk for self-gratification then proceeded to monkey-love his brother. It was the hardest thing not to burst out laughing, what with all the kiddies there.

Yeah it is insane what they can chew through...
I have heard of them chewing through iron frying pans. Imagine what it would do to a robber???
Not my idea of a good pet though. I dont really need the protection, my guns keep me safe.
I am inclined to agree that it would probably just be waiting for its chance to bite its way out of its cage and kill you and your family.
