Very embarrising, got a bit over zealous using the front brake in the wet when leaving work and lost the front end, only minor damage being a scratched mirror, broken brake lever and broken mounts off of the bottom side fairing, most embarrising part is I was wearing a cocktail suit on my way to a cocktail party........its just been one of those months.

Ah yes, sometimes I think thats worse than the physical pain... Can take a toll on your confidence sometimes too! Glad to hear your OK though, hope you can get your bike sorted without too much hassle!

Pleased you weren't hurt. Shaken but not stirred by the sound of it.

Reminds me of Dr Fred's famous, and hilariously funny retort, "Sartor, re-start us"

Which I still think is one of the funniest things anyone has ever said, except for Sir Richard Harrington's treatise "Metempsychosis of Ajax".

I've found that a quick spray of CRC on the brake discs when roads are wet reduces the risk of this sort of accident. Don't get any on your tyres tho, that would be dangerous.
Seriously. Glad to hear you got away with it.
