Right what a crap day!

6:00 - run, pissing down
7:00, coffee machine broken.
9:30 - 12:30 - stupid bloody applied calculus exam, hard as hell, wet because of the shitty bloody weather.

12:35 - And this is the point where it really goes down hill. Some Bloody Twat (tm) has knocked my bike over, probably stamped on it a couple of times and successfully bent the right handle bar way up, broken the brake lever, and scratched my near spotless fairings. Oh and on the left hand side there is a Huge and very visible gouge right down the fairing.

Yes the damage is pretty marginal but I take a heap of pride in my little green baby. Hugely irritating when the bike has been stood back up, shifted slightly so that the scratch is hidden by a post and the first I notice of it is when I try to ride off and find the brake lever missing and my right hand high in the air.

Off to the bike shop to get the handlebars straightened - there goes the petrol budget for the next couple of weeks. RARGH.

Just had to get that out of my system.

Arrgh, that sux dude! It sounds like someone may have run into it ir something, I thought at first that it may have been blown over like mine was but I doubt that the handlebars would get bent by it just blowing over... Are there any cameras near where you parked your bike? If so might be worth checking those out to see if someone has done it on purpose. I hope that your week gets better!

That sucks dude.

I believe what comes around goes around, one way or another this will catch up with the person that did this.

Thanks folks. It was the first time i'd parked it where I did, its undercover, reasonably sheltered from the wind, and not all that visible/not much pedestrian traffic goes past. Sadly no cameras either. I suspect it was pure accident, but as far as im concerned they should have bloody owned up to it. However blah blah blah.... real world.... blah....

Exam was tough as hell, and to find my pride and joy pranged... Whats the motorcycle equivalent of a bender?

Whats the motorcycle equivalent of a bender?

Well when I was without a bike I used to go to the gym and beat hell out of a punching bag. If your not feeling energetic theres always beer. Beer solves anything and everything. If not then theres any number of other substances you could try, but i'd stick with the beer.

Sounds like someones backed into it - are there any traces of paint from their vehicle left on your bike? You should check round the cars parked in that area tomorrow and see if you can find one with suspicious scrape marks matching the colour of your bike, then deal to it.

Look on the bright side... Did you manage to have a read through the exam before you were evacuated? If you did I'd be studying the things that were in the exam that I didnt know if I were you!...

Yeah, we had 10 mins reading time and I had just started the 1st question. They said that they were going to write a new exam, but before we were allowed back in to get our stuff the supervisors took all the old exams away so we couldn't see them anymore :sherlock:

You lucky bastard! I bet they don't write a new one.

Righty just got my bike back from the shop.

Right handgrip is nearly right, I still think its a bit bent. Brake lever replaced. Rear brake straightened. Im pissed off about the fairing but I guess it could be worse. One day i'll take em off and make molds out of them so I can turn new ones out quickly and paint them however I want.

Went a little nuts on the way home taking out some frustration. Oops. Sorry if anyone was just coming through central palmy and got upset by me taping the air horns on and bashing through at speed. I feel better for it. Infact am tempted to do a night ride to welly and back tonight. Need to blast some crap out the bike and the bloody maths out of my head.

Thanks for the support. Tomorrow i'll head back out to massey and have a look at the tips of handlebars for my missing green paint.

Buggar / bugger about the bike dude. Times like this, when there is nothing I can do, I put my trust in karma to deal a sledgehammer blow to the nuts of the pond scum that knocked your bike over.

Glad it wasn't major damage, and glad you weren't on it!

bugger
n : someone who engages in anal copulation (especially a male
who engages in anal copulation with another male) [syn: sodomite,
sodomist, sod]
v : practice anal sex upon [syn: sodomize, sodomise]

Source: Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913)

Bugger \Bug"ger\, n. [F. bougre, fr. LL. Bulgarus, a Bulgarian,
and also a heretic; because the inhabitants of Bulgaria were
infected with heresy. Those guilty of the crime of buggery
were called heretics, because in the eyes of their
adversaries there was nothing more heinous than heresy, and
it was therefore thought that the origin of such a vice could
only be owing to heretics.]
1. One guilty of buggery or unnatural vice; a sodomite.

2. A wretch; -- sometimes used humorously or in playful
disparagement. [Low]

probably not the nicest of words to be used.. especially so often..
