Well, I finally did it.

After some umming and arring about what size bike to buy, a wee chat to sparky bills (Thanks dude), I've made up my mind.

I've purchased a 1989 CBR400 race bike.
With only 20,000 K's on the clock and many spares.
I guess I'll be seeing a few of you guys on the 22nd lining up in the F3, Clubmans and Post Classic Jnrs for the Manfield long course! :woohoo:

Not my kid either, Else how would I be buying a race bike!

Man that bike gets around... I'm pretty sure that is my first race bike, was a road bike when I had/crashed it, then put it on the track. Did the guy you bought it off get it from down south??

If you haven't already got your MNZ licence get in quick as it takes a while and Vic clubs only doing day licenses for first year clubmans riders now and you really want to do Postclassic and F3 on that machine.

As a first race bike they're great.... might be a bit of a let down compared to the gixxer... my next race bike was a fireblade, and when I got out on that i thought "that's better... so much easier"

If you can ride the 400 fast, you'll find it gets easier after that!!

I'm just too impatient to wait.
