:shake: Well after a fantastic morning getting some bits and peices done to the bike with the help of Dangerous.... tootled off home and stopped in for some lunch at the parents.... all was going well until I went to leave...... hit some wet leaves and the white lines on the side of the road...... then all hell broke loose and now I need some repairs to the bike......:gob: A little plastic welding and some new parts and she will back on the road again soon :nya:
The most embarrasing part was all the family got to see the sad performance........ :thud:

Sorry to hear of your fall. The amazing thing is the road transport officials say they've been making their road markings safer by using more of a non slip paint, yeah right. They should get out on a bike and test them thereselves and also stop putting big painted markings on corners where we have to ride over them.:nono: Ofcourse it all helps to keep the statistics high for our accidents, then they can justify our high road tax.

Well it looks like I can get the indicator from a wrecker but in the whole of NZ I cannot find a foot peg bracket :crybaby: so it looks like I may have to buy it new :angry2: well done to me really, break a part I cannot get  bloody nermal!!!! :o

Hows the limp hon?
You could possibly get the footpeg bracket welded. Failing that try one of the VFR forums. I'm picking that a new one will cost a bloody fortune.
Edit: Hey you DID try Don at Pit Lane/ Cycletreads, didn't you?
Buggar! Hope the family didn't laugh too hard.
Glad you are not hurt too bad, hope you get the bike back on the road soon.

The limp is all gone now, just the bruises left
I am seeing DC in the next week or so and see if it can be welded..... failing that I will give the guys a call at Pit Lane... thanks :)

That sux speedy, take heart I dropped my bike in front of all my riding friends a few years ago. Hit a carport pole with the edge of my handlebar and over I went. Aren't stupid accidents fun?

Three of us on bikes, all of us relatively inexperienced (read: young, dumb and full of... something), arrived at my mum's place, one of my companions and I got there first and parked on the grass, third guy comes in far too hot, decides he's going to stop between our bikes, shoots between our bikes missing them by inches, skids on the grass, loses grip at the arse end and slides out (thankfully after his rear wheel has already cleared the front of our bikes) and winds up in an untidy heap on mum's rock garden.
Starts yelling "I'm hurt, I'm hurt" and my unsympathetic reply was "Yeah, your ego!"
Not saying that either of you were acting that crazy, SG and I_R, just trying to show you that, embarrassing as it was, at least you wouldn't have looked half the drongo my mate did...
