I got a speeding ticket a month and a bit ago. SH1 Just a lil ways outa Bulls.
119 in a 100 zone.
Bang to rights. I was got with a radar gun.
I explained I had only just bought the bike and that the speedo needle was jumping around moren a junkie on speed.
Then I wrote a letter of explaination--which was sorta semi accepted-but still I had the ticket. So I wrote again--this time with a receipt for the new speedo cable and reference to a credible person who could state exactly how a bike speedo would act when the cable was about to break.
Anyhoo I got a letter from the police to say that given the circumstances the ticket was withdrawn.

Eggzackery!

Not to mention the fact that he had a legitimate reason to ask for the ticket to be waived and provided proof of what the problem was and that the problem had now been repaired.

It must be quite refreshing for the egg heads at the infringement bureau when they get a letter that isn't a load of fabricated nonsense.

Skills Frosty. I've found that polite letters requesting leniancy given extenuating circumstances, with evidence, work for parking fines too.:innocent:
