Hi guys.

Since the bank told me I can get a bigger bike my fxr150 is for sale. Following is a link to the trademe listing. Please ask any questions you have.

I have a Loobman chain oiler on it, I will be removing it before handing the bike to the buyer but if the buyer wants, I'll keep it on for $50 extra. I'll also deliver for free within 100km of Palmy.

Here is the link:

EDIT - as some of you may have noticed, the fxr150 has been sold for 2150 with the loobman unit, delivering it to the lucky buyer in wellington next weekend!

Bugger, you're selling it about 3 months too early... I'm in the market for something cheap on gas and reliable in about, ohhh... 145 days...
If it's not sold by then, it's mine!

Top speed on flat... sorry can't remember, to be honest haven't tried since I first got the bike, just don't look at the speed too much on open road, I think the best I've had is 120-125km/hr on flat with a little wind behind me perhaps but it might be faster... But that's real speed though not the widely optimistic speedos of most fxrs you see...

It's very comfortable at 100-110km/hr it's just that it doesn't have much above 115km/hr or so. Quite easy passing cars though... must be the speedo...

You'll really need to take it for a test ride if keen on buying... it's really fun to ride. (probably not if you have a 170cc 2 stroke though... fxr is really more for the realiability than speed...)

PS Just signed a purchase agreement for a ZZR250 1994!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5250 with pack rack and second hand ventura bag from a dealer. I thought it was an ok deal and the bike has 33000 km on it.

Hey mate I'm really interested just depends on the minimum price on it that you can give me:blip: In a few weeks I should have around $1500 but it would take me a few more to reach the $2000 mark as I'm working full time in the school holidays.

do the 'beg your parents to lend you money' trick.. still works for me, and I'm 23..

SeaBass... Sorry I'm not really interested in seeing it go for much less than 2100... Spent way too much money on it for that. (did I mention just barely scrubbed in set of BT39s on it?) but yeah try the ZeroIndex's trick... Funny I'm 22 and that stopped working long ago...

I do the beg g/f to get a loan out for me trick though (since the bank won't loan me money... Apprently even though I earn enough and I have $150 spare every week, they won't let me pay the loan with it since it's not enough margin or something so my g/f gets a loan, and I pay the repayments... :)

Sweet as then the price is still reasonable but I cant get the money off the parents but if you don't sell it I'll be really interested for buying it around $2100 just depends how much work I get in the holidays cheers.

I will definately post here and let people know if I sell it here. You can usually pick fxr up for around 2000-2500 on trademe... though often you might want better tyres for them, etc and will generally have higher kms... mine already has bt39s on them and it's only donw 14200km I'm commuting on it now and it will probably put on another 100km but I get my new bike next week so I'll stop using this bike then.

remember to start the fxr up every now and then (if it takes a bit longer to sell)

argh.. I'm having a dilemma right now.. i just sold my guitar amp for $600 (getting collected on thursday), and if I could sell my Kinetic for $1500, I would be knocking on your door, pushing money up your nose, and taking the keys :D only problem is, I'd need to sell the Kinetic quickly, and 2: I want a Hyosung GT250.. but I'm not sure if my 'want' is more important than my 'need' :(

New bike is great. Haven't had the chance to take it for a really long ride and I'm wanted some decent tyres for it but it's so much better than fxr...

Starting to think I paid a bit much though, seeing how much money I'm going to be spending on it, etc... (will be getting some decent tyres soon since I don't trust IRC crap and I'm wondering if I'm going to be needing new chain and sprokets soon)

Mark -

I have IRC tyres on my KRR. I can out corner almost every bike i have ridden with. (on the road)

They are not that bad in the dry. Wet performance is quite shit though.

oh well, after spending some time on the wet with the irc tyres, I just ordered a set of sports demons... also needed new sprockets and chains on it.... damn I did pay too much for this bike.....
