Anyone heard of a distributor called "Sportsbike NZ"?
I'm after a Powerbronze Rear Hugger for the Z and the Powerbronze have referred me to them, but I can't find a URL, phone number, business directory listing, email address, or even a Google response faintly related to the name.
Thanks in advance.
Jim

Right. I've just gone through the website for what I'm after and I've found something quite disturbing.
Most of the products are 100% more expensive than they would be if purchased in country of origin.
I've been doing some figures, without taking into account a wholesalers discount from the manufacturer, and both the Aus and NZ distributors of these products are making 33% profit over UK retail, that's RRP, for each item.
The shipping argument doesn't stack up. I've spoken to a shipping agent friend, and I know how much a 40ft container costs. I know how much 3 sq meters costs because I've paid for that much myself before. I checked out duty with a Customs mate. It still doesn't stack up.
I've tried to point out to the UK manufacturers that if I import one item for personal use I don't have to pay duty. If I use their "local" distributor I have to pay TWICE what they charge for it in the UK.
So much for "globalisation".

The Motostyle one is fugly. Doesn't match the lines of the body work at all. The Ermax is the same. You can't put a curved piece of bodywork on a bike that uses Bauhaus principles to create the curves on the factory bodywork.

And that is why you buy it off ebay!

That's the thing. I've bought stuff off one of those manufacturers for my TRX via ebay, and they DO ship to NZ if you buy it through that channel. Approach directly and you get told they don;t ship to NZ. WTF?

But the Z750 is fugly too. It will be a perfect match.
Plus, I hear you're no looker Jim. ;)

Bauhaus - Bauhaus is essentially the architectural style that gave us the 70 floor office building. In this instance I'm talking about creating curves from straight lines, a la the Audi TT. The Z750S is a collection of straight lines from some angles and curves from the other, hence the Bauhaus allusions.

So they made the square tyres appear curved depending on where you are looking at it from?

May of us are having problems getting hold of Sportsbike NZ. I did manage to find an email address for them once but have now lost it. I emailed them about 4 months ago and still have no reply. They also apear to have no telephone number. I iam not happy to deal with a company like this. What i suggest we all do is email powerbronze in the uk - web address www.powerbronze.co.uk and complain about their NZ supplier, I would also recommend suggesting that they allow powerbronze in aussie to supply NZ again cos they are so much better to deal with. Also for interest sake I have copied a quote from an email I recieved from Powerbronze Aussie. .....I have forwarded your comment (and many others) to the UK for their consideration that we may in the future take control of supply to NZ again from Aussie."
Hope this helps you all.
