So this dude in a late model Benz puts his indicator on and nails it out of his carpark on Featherston St - right next to me.
Taxi driver in the right hand lane (Featherston St is two lanes of one way traffic) nails the brakes and hits the horn. I flick into the space where the taxi driver was.
Benz driver stops, I flick back in front. Give the taxi driver a friendly wave, he gives me the thumbs up. I notice the Benz hasn't moved. Go back - the dude is crying. I, "there, there", him and continue on to work.
Life is weird.
Life is weird. It's life Jim, but not as we know it.
Who said the Taxi drivers weren't our friends anyway?

Which taxi co? Ring and tell them. It's bloody strange for people to ring in and receive a compliment - it'll go for miles... might even catch on

Good effort all round (apart from the Merc driver of course). The taxi driver must have been awake.

But your right life is weird sometimes....
His left life is very straight to balance it out.A little duality in life is OK,and we shouldn't give him a complex about it....I'm willing to support Jim2 through this difficult time......

He must have really freaked out if he started to cry.
It was nice of you to comfort him...very magnanimous. Most people would have pulled the finger and buggered off.

...and this was with your new loudener on?
(I think he was crying; so you would not get the idea of making him cry).

Ah, of course. The "previously crying" hyposthesis makes a lot more sense.

I'm fairly certain from his demeanour that "other" things were going on.
I've given away the revenge thing and getting angry stuff. It's not worth it.

Yes, very good attitude - getting angry doesn't do any good but it's so easy.
I had a daily instance of car moving lanes into mine recently. I gesticulated angrily, then felt a bit ashamed as the car full of young kids turned around to look at the big mean biker.

Very Ghandi-esque Jim! I think I would have been thanking my lucky stars more than worrying about him...
Something for me to learn eh?

What a pansy.
Most deutsch pilots are. I scored the rear view/indicator off a merc who tried to put me into the median barrier. Unfortunately the police were very quick to pull me up (he phoned them) but the cop took my side when the driver said "he came out of nowhere" when I was on a bright red bike, bright gear and headlight on. Guy was a lawyer and I thought he was going to shed a tear when the cop said "well if I do him for kicking your mirror then I will have to do you for dangerous or careless driving".
Some taxis are class, but so many are just ass!

Nice save there eh Jim. Yeah Taxi's aren't so bad, its those feckin couriers that need a good dealing to. Nice work comforting the merc driver too. I would have been more inclined to dish out a good verbal at him!
