Well I work in the KPMG building and we overlook Manners Mall... Currently the Police have cordoned (so?) off the whole area from Star Mart right through to Bugger King. So far I have heard the following.... A bomb scare, a man with a knife and a man with a gun. Apparently there is a police dog in one of the buildings looking for someone.... So really I dont know whats going on but something is!

It must be the Wairarapa Cell of Al Qaeda putting their masterplan into action.
They're going to hijack Burger King.

I dont think its a bomb scare cause what ever is going on is going on in the building next to ours so I would have thought that they would have evacuated us and the people in the building next to ours. But then again who knows whats going on! I hope its not a bomb scare cause they have apparently sent a dog into the building....

Can't the police dog satisfy it's romantic needs with other dogs?
It's alright, I'll call Dover. He can take it into the 'Bugger King' for some fun.

Well people are now allowed back through Manners Mall but they have cordoned off the Asian Language Acadamy building and from what I remember the Police have offices in that building and they sometimes take prisoners or people in custody there so maybe someone tried to escape?... Though there is now a copper walking around the foyer of our building wearing rubber gloves and holding a brown paper bag. Make of that what you wil....

How did I know that you'd say that!
The funniest thing is that when I asked him what was going on he says "Oh, nothing much really, no need to be concerned". Hmmm understatement or what!

Standard response to the 'idiot' public....P lab discovered in our street 2 years ago, street cordoned off, armed cops everywhere, HazMat unit, dogs, etc..."no cause for concern, just a routine inquiry"

Police urged anyone who may have seen the robbery or the men to contact them.
