After reading a couple of 'oh bugger' threads recentlyI was just wondering just how many of us are actually busted up at present, and to what degree?
You can tell I'm really bored by this time huh? 10 weeks of broken collar bone and counting, waiting for surgery.
Lets all compare scars...metaphorically speaking anyway. lol

my collar bone is pretty much fixed after about 2 months but my leg still has fractures since Dec '04, the Fibula still needs to fix in 2 places and my Tibia is still missing around 1.5 cm's of bone about half way down.

And here was me thinking you walked like that after a night out with Maurice!

Bike is dead in Otrahonga!

But I must say wont ever be wearing an Open face lid ever! Old dazza ripped past me on the Duke and threw up a rock the size of a tennis ball and as it arced towards me I turned my head but still got smacked by it in the visor which suprisingly took the hit with only some deep scratches to it, was enough force to move my head about so would of been a nasty injury if I wasnt helemeted at the timE!

Also got some bruises on me arms from where the triple was firing rocks at me as well! Bloody torque monsters!

My "Oh Bugger" was a few months back... no injuries other than brusies and one torn muscle... all healed now...

Bike is still un-road worthy...

The poll overlooks knees (and elbows too for that matter)!

My knee is fast approaching normality after three weeks.

Well ive been healing for nearly 4 months now... Still numb in some parts of my left arm, still dont have full range of movement (close though) and very weak external rotator muscles... Most of the rest of me is pretty much healed, but my ribs still hurt sometimes...

Sorry I thought that was sort of part of the lower leg/arm category. good to hear you're feeling better anyway.

After 4 and 1/2 months (16 Feb 2006)

I still have probs with my left knee and left hand.
Knee is still numb and very sore to touch on the right hand side of it.
(From when the knee hit the tank, when I flew over the handlebars)
Middle finger and thumb damaged.

Still having physio on both knee and hand. They are getting better slowly.

But at least I am back riding again.

Going to see another specialist tomorrow. Don't know whether that will mean surgery, or a reduced cast (current one could stop a bullet).

btw me = borken wrist (proximal radius) and an ulna split halfway through by a screw. ftw.

I had 2 accidents last year that involved my right knee. One in July and one in Sept... My right knee is still numb on one side, and I have shooting pains and nerve spasms while the nerve heals itself. I figure a numb knee is better than no knee though!

Does having a rock fly into your eye causing severe bruising count?

To make matters worse, my daughter is teething and while applying Bonjella to her gums I went to rub my sore/itchy bruised eye ball and coated it in Bonjella.

Perhaps a poll on how many broken bikes we currently have, and what make/type???

I notice you very sensibly left out the ctaegory of "mental defects"......

And to prove my own lack of intellectual fortitude I make a right cock up of "c-a-t-e-g-o-r-y", this time typed very slowly, squinting at the dictionary...christ I need more caffiene.........

Nuts, here's a reson to NOT ride bikes!!

But hey, if there was a category for mental defects, as slowpoke suggests, I guess we'd all be on it!
