Late one afternoon, a famous pianist was practicing for his big
concert at Carnagie Hall that evening , when he suddenly realized
that the instrument he was supposed to perform with was horribly off
key!
With the concert only hours away, he rushed to a phone and
called the nearest music shop to send someone over to the concert hall
right away!
About ten minutes later, a man shows up with a tool box.
Quickly the performer shows him the crippled piano.
The man looks it over, plinks a couple of keys, then reaches in
his toolbox and produces a large fish. He then slaps the piano several
times with the fish, and asks the performer to try it again.
To the pianist's amazement, the piano sounded beautiful!
"But I don't understand" said the performer, "All you did was
slap it a couple of times with that dead mackerel!"
"This?" the man said, "Oh this is no mackerel, it's a tuner
fish"
