I just wanted to get some advice on what to take to the Cold Kiwi. I am absoloutley useless at organising what gear I need to take. No doubt I would arrive there and would have forgotten something essential. So please help me out and suggest some things that I would need to take to survive the Cold Kiwi. Bear in mind that I will be riding there on my Honda 250. Thanks in advance for your wisdom.

Ya don't need much. Warm gear & lots of it. A tent, warm sleeping bag & sleeping mat - the thicker the better. A mug. Cash. Food, beer & Stone's (mmmm...stone's...) are all available at reasonable prices.

Cheers
Clint

If its like last year you'll need sunblock and jandals. Just be prepared for cold weather, plenty of food and fluids available on site at reasonable prices

You'll need a tent, sleeping bag, bed-roll(those self inflating ones work quite well) Plenty of warm clothing, lots of layers will keep you warm. Woolly hat & gloves. If it is warm during the days then it's easy to take layers off. I'd recommend the Sat night dinner, prepaid with your ticket, and you'll need a plate, cutlery and coffee mug. I like to take a hotwaterbottle to keep me warm at night(but then I am old, and a girl). There's free tea & coffee all weekend & you can use the hot water to fill your hotty.
Hope to see lots of kbers there:yes:

Just curious. Would anyone be interested in lending me a bed roll and sleeping bag for that weekend. I have these but they are way to big. Looking for one of those sleeping bags that compress into a small size, and one of those self inflating matresses that go real small as well. Anyone know if outdoor stores lend that sort of stuff? Thanks
