One of my semi-regular contributrors to Motobke.co.uk send in this review of the Arai Condor Stellar (http://www.bobpickett.co.uk/bkit/araicondorstellar.htm).

Sounds, like all Arai's, to be a decent lid, but he does seem to have one or two negative comments to make about it... then gives it a superb score!

Do you think he has got it right?

It seems he bought it by reputation and snob value.

In a word.... NO
I like the Arai's but he doesn't really seem to have made his decision on logic basis, just on appearance and reputation/ 'coolness'. Scores do not seem to reflect the comments really. Try a Uvex, they rock.

Prize prick, if you want to buy a helmet just for pooze factor then get a cheap one and get it sprayed up.

Arai's along with Shoei have been the leaders in helmet safety for years and offer generally the best lids on the market...

If ya value your head , then dont skimp on price...

He must have very fat fingers as there visor relase is simple to use and you can release the visor with gloves on !!!...

Unfortunately this article tends to point out that the author is a fashion victim along with being a complete cock !!!

If I am honest, I'm not sure where he is coming from either.

I wear contact lenses - and I wear an Arai RV (http://www.bobpickett.co.uk/bkit/arairv.htm). I've never had any problems from the visor vents affecting my lenses.

Personally I think the decals/transfers on the Condor Stellar are AWFUL - but that is purely a matter of taste. I'd rather get a plain lid and then get reflective stickers to add (see thumbnail below).

I wouldn't shell out extra cash just so I can buy someone's colour scheme either - I'd rather put the extra towards buying better kit if I had that kind of cash to splash.
