Sth Akl Thurs NIGHT RIDE & Drinks @ 1830hrs

THIS IS JUST AN IDEA AT THIS STAGE

Every week with out fail i see the guys/gals mainly from west & nth Auckland all head out for a socialise ....... now i know its open to all and i'm not trying to step on anyones toes but for some of us Sth Aucklanders it just takes too long to get out west and back from albany.

So with that in mind i just want to know if any one would be interested in a ride to the Red Fox Taven on SH2?

My thoughts on the ride beforehand would be meet at Shell Clevdon @ 1830hrs, leave at 1900hrs head out of clevdon as we usually would but rather than following east cost rd all the way through to miranda i was thinking we could cut in land at Kaiaua up Kaiaua Rd on to Miranda Rd and then up Monument Rd which brings us out right at the Pub.

As i said its just an idea just want to see what the masses have to say about it.

If Dover can put up with being seen with Yamaha's as well as Kumansukmi's, I'd be keen as well....Red Fox is all class....unless Kaiaua pub's open, that's an even classier establishment....v.nice, and Dover tells me they do latte's there also - well ok, instant coffee with chef's special frothed milk on the top...

PS: agree with the bit about it being a pain splitting, whoops i mean sitting in all that traffic on the nthwestern at peak hr....

As its a bit of a mission to westgate from east and a 100km round trip just on the motorway.

Northern rides do make things a long round trip but a Southern Ride would be kinda cool. Nice roads too.

Be weather permitting though I take it?

Don't mind riding in the rain and wet but prefer not too, especially with the green slime growing on a lot of the corners that way. :)

Yeah I might give that a try. The thought of having lane split all the way from Mt Wellington to Westgate is a put-off...Actually, changing the visor is usually too much trouble for someone like me. I've got 2 helmets now though, I can probably leave the clear visor on the old one...

Forgot that I have meetings with my Real estate agent on Thursday nights till the house is up for auction on 5th August. So can't look at these rides on Thursday evenings till after then.

What Problems with a new ZX6.....?

Nothing wrong with the ZX6 apart from the fact its not road legal and will be really noticable that its not at night. It's the old hyosung that keeps cutting out on me.

Sounds like a good plan, I don't think the weather is up to much this Thursday (20th) but certainly a good idea in the near future though
