Newish design: Firestorm spark plug.. 24:1 ratio anyone?

Can't find his original website.. probably been bought out by spark plug companies. Anyone got any ideas to back this design up or is it all b/s? It's been around for at least 2 years. Saw it a while ago.

Got to be legit, the following sealed it for me

This sounds a bit stupid, at very high air to fuel ratios, pre-detonation can be caused by hot spots in the engine as well as other things, changing the spark plug definately will not change that. If you got a mixture that high in a hot engine and compressed it, it will probably detonate spontaniously before the spark plug ever gets to fire.

I'd like to see the results of the test done by Bosch

24:1 is Diesel type compression ratios you'd be looking at compression igniton and wouldn't need spark plugs anyway

No,24:1 is the air/fuel ratio he's talking about.Of course there are no plugs to test...how convienient.Looks a lot like Bosch's much maligned Super 4 - it has 4 earth electrodes and a round centre electrode.Platinum plugs are ''lifetime'' fitment - they get the vehicle out of the warranty period,which is the lietime of the vehicle as far as the manufacturer is concerned.Why would they be worried?

THE SPLIT FIRE PLUGS ARE GOODIN OLDER MOTORS IVE USED A FEW THEN STARTED MAKING MY OWN, I USED TO GET A NORMAL NGK PLUG , STRAIGHTEN THE EARTH TAB THEN SPLIT THE END WITH A SHARP COLD CHISEL ON AN ANVIL , BEND IT BACK GAP IT AND PUT I IN MY SHITTY BIKES

As somebody who plays with sparks a lot, that picture is a long exposure of.. well.. Hundreds, if not thousands of sparks.

Route of least resistance and all: even in "split fire" plugs you only get one spark jumping the gap with the least resistance. There ain't any way to get more without putting in two spark plugs on different circuits. Split fire plugs are better however when one electrode gums up, the spark will switch to the other electrode.

just look at my avatar... that metal ring was my route of least resistance for that pic.

So if they are lieing about the pic there, I wouldn't be surprised to find them lieing about other things in the article too
