Provided I can get my chain and rear brake sorted by the weekend and the weathers good then I'm keen to take the 600 out to a track for the first time.

Maybe I should come out a bit later this time so the track is more dry. How many runs did you get in last week?

i would come ,and love doing the track thing,, but i reckon its to darn dangerous with those drifters" spraying mud and shit all over the track, "not good when you on two"
thats why im trying to arrange a bike only day, much safer that way--i spoke to gary at the track and he agreed, he was pissed of with the cars--if ya are going""" be careful"

Hell yeah bro, i would be keen to have a bit of a race with you. I will probably turn up to watch no matter. If the weather is good, i will most likely do some runs. I am just a tad suspicious of my chain...but i will probably just lube it up well and see how it goes, or alternatively take the chain and sprockets with and swap them there...dunno yet.

Hey, apparently I'm down for this, but am only going to watch. The one I signed up for was a bike only day in October, has it been canned?

Thinking of heading to Puke for Sat practice. Anyone else interested? I am friendly and don't bite, but enjoy someone to chase or lap and chat to in between sessions. Last time I went there was only 3 bikes there..... Any takers email me direct at mark916@bigpond.com
Cheers

Just roll up, scribble on a form and hand over $90... they didn't even ask for Id last time I went, let alone check your licence....
texmo
14th July 2006, 16:01
Why would you need a licence? do puke do any check on the bikes? manfeild just gave me a sticker and that was that.

14th July 2006, 16:24
There haven't been any checks of any sort done when I've been there. I don't even think I put my license number on the form. Long as they can read your name and it's signed you're all good.

Sorry, our onboard timing equipment was puckaroo....
Nah, couldn't be bothered with any timing or anything, but that was a blast, especially as the day wore on! The track dried out nicely, and the bike stopped trying to spit me over the high side....
Yeah, she was pretty slippery at first, 1st gear doddering around turn 3, as it was coated in the slipperiest substances known to man, (I neglected to sample it for accuracy, but it was slippery!) But still managed to top her out in 6th down the back straight. Standard gearing, but i wasn't wearing a speedo... or speedoes... (fine leather there Quasi, dem fine If Ah do say so!) So couldn't tell for sure.
Also had a blast in Bios new Audi a8. OOoo baby... dems some fiiiine wheels!!!
Cheers for the day guys! Next time lets see a few more of you rain o phobes out there!!! On second thoughts.... Having the track to ourselves was bruddy brilliant, so stay away!!
