P/F just mentioned bribing cops in another thread.
So who would be in favour of a little donation to a cops personal benevolent fund if he caught you bang to rights and you could avoid all that suspension/demerit/fine unpleasantness?

I think I'd rather have the susp/fine/demerits and general unpleasantness.
No offence there D50. You're just not my type, being a bloke and all that.

Swapp all that "unpleasantness" for an ever increasing on the spot payment schedule seems a dumb move to me.
"You don't pay me $200 - I'll do you for xyz"
"But I didn't xyz"
"That's not the way I see it"

The bribery I was talking about was back in Zimbabwe, I think the cops here would get into too much trouble if caught so its not worth it...
As an answer to your question... In my case it would depend on the circumstances that I was involved in... but reality is... I never have any money so I wouldn't be able to bribe one if I wanted to :(

Yeah, with MDU.
Bribery aint a good scene. I had a [dodgy] mate who travelled through sth america. He bought a small bag of pot from the owner of a guest house where he was staying - the owner offered it for sale. Next thing some cops bust in, find the grass and give him an "instant fine" of US$200. Obviously dobbed in by the fecker who sold it to him. They left the pot and me mate was so paranoid about them returning that he smoked the whole bag that night. But then he started getting more paranoid but that's a different story.....
Having said that, if a lovely officer offered to let me off with a warning for doing 210kph for a small fee, I'd be mighty tempted..... :innocent:

No probs here. Having lived in Hungary for almost a year it'd be just like old times again.

The majority of London police are bent and "aparently" the best place to source drugs is from a copper there....
Queensland police.......... says it all really.

I don't think he's fat, and as for ugly, well - he has facial hair, so I guess that covers off the hairy and ugly I spose?

Amateurs compared to their NSW colleagues -- the best police force money can buy.

I just came back from Indonesia, the bribe catital of the world! $5us gets you through customs in quick time (ms corby forgot about this), the driver made a wrong turn so had to pay the cop equivilent of $2 (the cop put up the no turn right sign 2 minutes before we drove through as it wasn't their before or when we returned). Anything can be brought over their for a very cheep price.

What! Are you serious? I certainly hope not!
$US5 gets you through customs? Without waiting and being properly checked?
That's absolutely disgraceful. I'm shocked and disappointed. Someone ought to report this to the appropriate authorities for serious disciplinary action
I paid 50000 rupiah . That's about $US10. I was ripped off!. Bloody crooks, they're even overcharging on the bribes. Is there no honesty left in the world!

Was lurkin' on another biker site a few days back and there was a thread about a guy who got a speeding ticket when he was not speeding. Seemed a well healed sort because he was going to fight this come hell and high water. Some one asked him the lacale and as soon as he posted the location some one who lived in this area just said pay the fine and move on. Seems the judges are in on the corruption and get a cut of the pie in this place. Cop saw and interstate rego plate and swooped. s
Seemed common and not at all secret.
I know we bitch at times about our justice system.................but it's a lot better than some.

You got had! I'd complain (or bribe) to the local officials next time you go back.
