any body out there that is going to do the skills handling test and has not booked one yet then let me reccommend to you to go through rider skills in avondale as i done mine today and the tutor phillip is really great , friendly and easy going ,, a great teacher who is patient and explains things clearly and gives the right advice when things go wrong , and made it nice and easy for me to relax and get on with learning to ride the bike ,, would really reccommend him to anybody just starting out cheers if you would like his number then just send me a message thanks  :first:

I used Rider Skills last weekend to do my basic skills test.........would also recommend him as a good place to go.
$65 for test only or $110 for 1 hour lesson and test.

I learned to ride offroad (taught by my hubby who is a loooong time off road rider). I found the basic handling skills test a bit of an eye opener really!! I'd not realised just how different off road and on road riding techniques are. If you are like me, and learned to ride off road, I would suggest a training course just to give you the low down on "correct" techniques. Now roll on some fine weather and I can get the baby out on the road...

Yeah I can second that - Phil did the basic handling test with a mate of mine and they said he was great as well... patient and thorough.
He also does advanced riding courses too, for people who want to up their current skills. So they cater for riders of all levels.
