Interesting story from Soup http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2006/Jul/060715o2.htm
I guess KR Snr is wondering now why he ever tried to build his own engine.
I liked this comment "The two Repsol riders are split on the grid by Kenny Roberts, who professed mild surprise that his lap was so fast. He is still marveling at the usability of his Honda motor, and raised a laugh at the front row press conference by saying even riding it through the track invasion at Donington it behaved like a street bike".

Yeah pretty much. Plus I've a GSXR600 that is also doing super shit in World Super Sport.
But its not as embarrasing as still supporting the England soccer team aye Mr MarkNZ.

I know that the competition is getting faster and faster, but how come Rossi keeps qualifying so far back? Is he still recovering from his injuries?
I think I've said it before: This year's MotoGP is a f&%k of a lot more interesting than guessing who was coming second to Rossi last year!

Even towards the end of last year Rossi was qualifying pretty shit if I recall...maybe it's laziness, maybe he does it for fun...dunno, but he's come from around that position to win a few times before I think.

Rossi and Edwards seem to be having problems getting the Yamaha to handle on sticky qualifying tyres from what they are quoted as saying on Soup here http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2006/Jul/060715i.htm
Pedrosa looks like he's now the young hotshot like Rossi was a few years ago. Honda also seem to have sorted the bikes a bit.

I suspect the bike is still not right for some tracks, and he sure will still be having trouble with the injuries. Biggest worry is that he has not had to come from this far behind in the championship for a long time ( if ever? ), so it'll be interesting to see how the rest of the season pans out.
