Ohhh whats up with by bike now?

Gpz250, little sister of the gpz305, 1984, Just had the stator replaced and all was good for about 30 mins of riding but now when she hits about 6000 revs she seems to run on what feels like 1 cylinder, it almost feels like when you hit a rev limiter (if you know what i mean) Any ideas would be great.

Not really familiar with these bikes but heres a few thoughts:-

Have you checked it is still charging? That may give you a clue as to whether it is due to the stator etc. You may find that your rectifier is shagged and it is not giving power to the rest of the bike... Could also be the coils - check those with a voltmeter you should find some information on this on the net.

Check that you have not bumped any of the vacuum hoses etc. running to the carb, I had a similar deal at 10,000rpm on my zxr once.

I have changed the coils and the cdi, maybe the rectifier next?

If you could get hold of a tech manual (for any bike) then you will get a fair idea on how to check each component, and it will save you a lot of money in the long run! Coils, stator, cdi, rectifier, etc. can all get very expensive...
