A bike with full fairings is $500- but if they are preped and ready to spray, they are $600-??? What gives? That sounds about right to me... it actually takes longer to fix peoples crappy repair work than for him to do it from scratch. With good fairings (as he says, no repairs), he only needs to scotch pad/rough em up and squirt over the top.
With someones dodgy primer/repair jobs, he'll probably need to use a sealer as well, to ensure their product doesn't leech through into his. He has no way of knowing what type of primer etc the customer has used, so he has to do extra sutff to protect his own work.
Sounds totally reasonable to me... most panel beaters prefer to do the whole job themselves to ensure continuity of quality :)
Crazefox has just done a full fairings painting job for my CBR400RR. He has done a bloody good job of it, good communication, fast response, pretty relax about changes and doing a bit more than what I expected. Highly recommended. Here is a link of the bike http://www.massey.ac.nz/~cteo/cbr400rr

Can you respray to standard kawasaki colours and add graphics, and do you have an idea on how much a full set worth of fairings would cost to ship?
I have the sides and a front of one ZXR that need to be repainted (black with green and grey) and a full set that i want resprayed (maybe later this year) for my other bike.
Cheers.

Have a few scratches on my fairing that require some airbrushing.
I can probably do the brushwork here in Auckland but would be quite keen if you could mix the paint.
What would you need from me to make this happen?
And how much for say 500ml x two colours? - Blue and Brown (oil case cover)

I've also got an NC30! I want it repainted red and a bit of white on the tail. Its yellow and black at the moment and looks like a beat-up ex-racer! I'm in no hurry tho, cause I don't actually mind the look. But its starting to peel off in places. I got a quote from reflection: $2200!!!!!!!
