Hey Swanny,

Any idea wot time we'd be getting home after all that riding? Be nice to give wifey some idea, so she doesn't worry too much.

Cheers

Quite late in the afternoon, possibly hit Auckland anywhere between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm, however there will be plenty of opportunities to peel off and head back home earlier, just let someone know.

We will probably head back south after lunch at Russell.........:scooter:

... might as well make a quick dash up to Wongaray on SH1
... You got a lot of riding to do...

Agreed,SH1 is considerably faster getting up to Whangarei and yes there's a LOT of riding to be done up HERE.
SH16 is lame compared to some of what we'll be riding y'all!! :nya:
Get ya butts up here early as possible...you can aways ride back down it if you don't agree with my comments....but you will :wait:

PS: Cops should be OK on SH1 if ya not being nuts...save that shit for further Norf, you'll fit in

SwanTiger
16th July 2006, 22:52
Dude they are more than staking out 16, theres no point even riding it bro, might as well make a quick dash up to Wongaray on SH1, jeez you still get the brynderwyns in there. You got a lot of riding to do, 16 sucks arse right now.

If we be good little boys and girls on SH16 we'll be alright, slow down for the straights and speed up for the corners.

I will brief everyone on the day of the regular hiding spots they use and what signs to look out for.

It's simple really, we know they are there, so don't speed! That's why God created Norfland roads :doobey:

If I head up, will go SH1, only 5 mins from my house to southern motorway manukau city, pain riding out westee and then going up 16, be shagged before the ride starts.

As said, this is a sedate ride up SH16 !!

Either way, you might be able to wing it so that we can meet up in Wellsford or something.

For those being handbags and going sh1, where to meet and when?

By handbag, i mean those that literally are handbags and too soft to take up mr plod on his offer of cash relief, or those that live south or east (or north for that matter) that can't be arsed riding west to get north.

SwanTiger
19th July 2006, 14:11
I don't see the point in going up SH1, whether you go SH1 or SH16 you're going to need to control your speed to avoid the Police. What is more, if you have just announced that you are going to take SH1 to avoid the Police and we assume "the Police" are really monitoring this website, then DUH.

Lou Girardin
19th July 2006, 14:29
Do you guys really think there'll be less cops on 1 than 16?
What about their happy hunting ground from Waiwera to Wellsford?
Just keep the speed down, like I do.
Remember, the faster you go the bigger the mess.

Ozzie
19th July 2006, 14:35
Frankly, I won't be givin away my cash or license whichever route, but if going SH1 means I don't have to get up quite so early and go for a trip out west first, then I'm for SH1, Plod or not.

On the DUH thing, guess then plan of being hoons up north is faulted too then?

Nah, no worries up north cuz, their latest recruits have only been issued BMX's.

When you all go throu Whangarei, can you make heaps of noise so that T.I.E can hear you all coming throu.
He said via text message that he will keep a look out for you all.

He knows about the ride and isnt online at the moment to catch up with everyone.

He knows the approx time via text message when you will all get to Whangarei re Swanny's first post.

So if you spot him wave out to him.

Ahhh but maybe we are planning to go up SH16 we're just saying we're going up SH1 so that they stake SH1 out instead.

Or maybe we're not bull shitting and are in fact going up SH1.

Or maybe this ride is'nt happening at all and the cops are going to be staking out both SH1 & SH16 for nothing.............................

The weater reports are improving and it looks like we'll have a fine day, at the most a little over cast.

Anyone else going to come along?

If you aren't keen on SH16 then we'll be stopping in Wellsford briefly at approximately 8:15 am and then carrying on to Whangarei.

FUCK !!

I had Mc Donalds last night and I can feel that shit brewing a storm down under. I might be making irregular pit stops ...

Here is hoping everyone is ready and rearing to go by 7:30 am, I have to drop off my little girl as well as get out to Westgate, so if I'm not there dead on 7:00 am don't bust a ball or anything, I'll be there before 7:30 am.

Anyone checked the WEATHER FORECAST lately? What a cracker of a day! http://www.metservice.co.nz/default/index.php

Cheers Swanny for the ride up north...pity about Phoenix losing his chain on the way:doh: .

I was gonna turn around at wellsford(hands were stinging beyond belief-yea yea i kno "harden up") and head home but once i started, just couldn't get off the bike.

Anyway made it to whangarei and met up with the northland crew to fill up with gas. Moved the bike forward for a car behind me to fill up....and BANG!! I hadnt put the stand up properly resulting in the bike slamming on its face:brick:

Anyways didnt feel like heading up with northland crew so headed on my lonesome to dargs- a blast as always.

Scored a free lunch at the parents:rockon: then headed on my way back to auckland. Initially boring but things picked up round maungataroto.

Filled up in Wellsford and had a blast through 16 to westgate-could really feel the adjustments to the suspension made the previous day.

Anyways apart from the accident in whangarei service station...bloody good time was had.

cheers Swanny!!
