IT'S NOW TIME FOR A MID-YEAR XMAS RIDE! How about a good turnout for the 'middle of the year ride!'

Just the usual ride after work finishing off with Dinner and Drinks at the Speights Ale House in Albany. Anyone who cannot come/not keen on riding is still very welcome to join us at the pub for a social get-together 8pm onwards (bring ya cage if ya want..).......The Speights Ale House has been VERY good to us - They give us FREE nachos/wedges/garlic bread! You cant beat that kind of service, cheers guys. So lets give them a boost this Thurs and support them :2thumbsup

What: A ride up north in da dark finishing with a stiff one
When: Thursday night after work - 20th July (Shit - halfway through the year already!)
Where: Shell WESTGATE (end of the North Western Motorway)
Why: To get your fix for the mid-week blues and charge ya bike battery
Time: Meeting there from 6.30pm departing @ 7pm
Pace: Open to all as long as you dont ride snail pace:scooter:



The route will be discussed on the night.:blip: For those concerned about distance/time the ride will last for approx 1hr - 1half and is around 70kms long. We start at Westgate and finish up at Albany.


- Tinted/iridium visors are not recommended, please change your visors over to clear ones for the ride. It is hard enough to ride in pitch black darkness without having to look through a darkened visor. Any chance to lessen the risks we take in our riding the better! (If you don't have a clear visor, may I suggest buying/borrowing a pair of clear safety glasses and keep ya tint visor up....) A anti-fog insert is a great investment.....:yes:

- Darkness = Slower speeds (self explained...)


This ride is WEATHER PERMITTING - I will post up in the thread if it is postponed due to weather. I will decide on the day and post after 5pm.:sunny:

Rhino and I did go round to Crashe's tonight so Rhino could upgrade the computer to Win 2000. Unfortunately Crashe's computer needs a bit more RAM to be able to handle it (A bit more grunt in the engine, so to speak!!) :blip: (Sorry about not being able to complete the task tonight Crashe.)

But... as soon as the RAM is sorted, Rhino will be able to complete the mission and Crashe's computer will be all sorted and supported for the next little while :yes: (or at least until Bill Gates decides otherwise!!! :wait:)

Was a good ride tonight (last nite), thanks to the Qk's for organising again!

Temperature wasn't too cold, didn't get a spot of rain, roads were mostly damp but drying in parts, we rode through fog at times which made my visor WHITE so I had to pull it up to actually see the road! Yes Mark, you were the 1st 250 to Dairy Flat *beating* the rest of them, even swanny hehe.

And the fridge was mine! I swear the decision was an inside job and the staff won it for themselves, did you notice the claimant was wearing a speights t-shirt!! :shit:

Yea, Mark was, but it wasnt a true victory.
When everyone stopped at the stop sign, Mark beat them off there.
O well, was a good night, and the fog was no where near as bad as it has been. Lifting the visor worked well. Its when you lift your visor and you can still only see 4m in front that its bad.
