I see Nolan helmets are also branded as X-lite does anyone know of any other makes that are the same helmet but different brand names? There seem to be so many different helmet brands sold in US, Aussie, England etc that we dont get here and I cant believe that the sales world wide warrant so many manufacturers. Anybody shed any light on this ?

Nolan and Xlite are part of the same company, but definitely NOT the same helmet. Completely different factories too.
The exception is Melandri's Nolan, that's really an Xlite.

You don't make a budget line of helmets and use your premium name, you make a seperate name and line.Shoei helmets for $60? Doubt it.Same as tyres, budget tyres are the cheap brand, made in the same factory as the big name expensive tyres.

One thing with Nolan though, they use the same Lexan polycarbonate outer shell on the cheap Grex's as they use on Nolans and Xlite. They don't skimp on that part.

I've been using Nolan helmets since 1980,no complaints from me.
