Righto everyone, heads up. I have implemented a Cunning Plan for getting a few hours off from Actual Work tomorrow, which unfortunately involves an hour of terminal boredom for some AU engineering students. Well, tough titties for them, they should have done an arts major.

Now, I know sAsLEX will be in the area at the time. Any other KBers downtown or at AU/AUT or anywhere else within range tomorrow who feel like a group therapy pub lunch or summat around 1pm-ish to get in the mood for the long weekend? I'm thinking that a bimble up to Galbraiths would not be entirely out of the question.

Post here before midmorning tomorrow if you're interested.

Hey yea, I think i can make that! Where will you guys be meeting anyway?

Bike park opposite AU engineering might be a good place. Or in the front entranceway if it's raining hard. I'll be wearing my KB T-shirt for a bit of insidious forum promotion. Might snag a few more hapless bike-riding student converts ;)

Bloody fantastic Idea, Im in Auckland tommorrow for work on the Ducati so I can meet up for lunch ,being a provincal lad you will have to explain where to go though 1pm sounds good. :yeah:

OK then, let's say that the meeting place will be the bike parking ranks in front of the gym building and opposite the uglier-than-feck Auckland Uni Engineering building on Symonds St. Can't miss it. If it's bucketing down we'll loiter with intent in the front lobby bit of the engineering building instead.

I'll probably be ready to head off by 1:10 or so, depending on how long the lecture takes.

That does indeed sound like a cunning plan. Unless, of course, it's just a cunning plan to indulge in more rubbishing of people who don't ride Suzukis...
I work in Ponsonby, so that's only a couple of wheelies away from the AU carpark you speak of (I know it well).

Sure thing. 1:10 at the AU bike park, heading straight to Galbraiths once there's more than one or two of us. So anybody who isn't closer to the bike park or wants to turn up a bit later, just arrive at Galbraiths and look for the bike helmets.

Only just managed to hand in an assignment at 1300 today cause I fell asleep while doing some work this morning, and lectures are the best time to sleep, a boring monotone to put you in the mood and the buildings are normally nice and warm

A plan so cunning,
you could pin a tail on it and call it a wessel!

A cunning Wessel,
so cunning that it has just graduated from "The School of Cunning"!! :shit:

O well. I'll just have to go and have a pie in Boi's gargre :spudwave: :bash:

Well, we'll just have to see if we can do something about that stereotype today, eh? <_<

Cheers guys, nice to meet y'all. The sandals-and-braces crowd up at the engineering faculty want me back next semester so we'll have to tee up some more lunch sessions for the future, I reckon.

I had hoped to be there but had to stay at work. I did ride past Galbraiths just after 3 to see if anyone was still there but saw no bikes outside so assumed you had all gone.
