Bit of a celebration today.

:blip: I have posted (crap) 3000 times since i have joined this site...
:blip: I have been riding for 365days...
:blip: ...and I have covered 37000kms.

In 365 days Ive gone from never riding a motorcycle to spending very little time off one. Ive gone from riding like a complete nana, to riding like a complete nana with knee sliders. Ive owned 2 bikes, 2 pairs of boots, 3 pairs of gloves, 3 jackets, 3 pairs of bike pants, and 3 helmets. Ive also been on the track three times.:second:

In 365 days I have also be fortunate to meet alot of people through kiwibiker that Im very proud to call friends...even the ones from Auckland. Infact all kiwibikers are pretty cool people, and I cant think of any that I wouldnt have a beer with.

So cheers to all of you. Heres to another 365 days (maybe not 3000 posts).

Special thanks to Jill, Ryan and UncleB. You all know why :niceone:...

Mate, well done.

You have certainly given the big up yours to the fuel companies - let's hope it can continue. It has been great riding with you and your nana:nya:

Congrats dude! I joined one month before you and started riding at the same time. You've definately excelled a whole lot more though! I have only done around 13000 k's and 2000 odd posts. At least I have owned the same amount of motormacycles as you! *wink* I still remember our first "big" ride.... Man how things have changed eh!

Str8 - Remeber when we met up with Euronomies (sp) and we met Uncle B for the first time and he was on his SV1000S...here we are with a GN250x2, and Hyo250GT and we were singing 'one of these things is not like the other'.

Good times....good times.

Good on you Skels,
Can't say I remember your first days (age thing) But you've stuck with it and progressed into a capable rider. You can no longer call yourself a nana.

Bling for you mate

Congratulations Sean...

Shall we organise a wee celebration on Thursday August 3rd when I'm down in Welly?

PS. I'm not sure if I can beat the kms but I think I must be close - 20,000km on the SV in 8 months and I had the VTR before that for 6 months and did 20,000km on that. 40,000km give or take a couple of thousand in 14months. Come to think of it though, a fair few of those kilometres were with you!

skelstar
24th July 2006, 12:58
Thats true KS. That was a fantastic trip down South (islands of birth get capital letters). I think we will call it a draw (kms).

Cheers UB.

Beyond: I worked out that my Hornet runs at about 10c/km...17000kms on my 919cc baby. You do the math :).

Bloody well done Skels! Thats some decent distance on a bike. Im impressed.
I remember seeing you chugging up the hill to Pukerua Bay on Boxing, you bike running like a bag of shit on the way to Wanganui. I think you ended up driving up to Wanga's. A good keen man.
Well done again I say:yes:

Hmmm... sorry dude, I just checked with Gamgee's formula in his sig and it appears you are officially a kiwibiker.postwhore. But the formula dosent take in to consideration the number of Km's you have travelled, so I guess we can let you off a little bit :=)

Well done and keep those wheels turning :-)
