Hi all,
im just getting my licence sorted for racing in street stock and was hoping someone could steer me in the right direction.....
Ive applied to join the vic club, thats all good.... but when i apply for my race licence do i need only apply for a "club" licence ($50) or "full competition" licence ($90)?
Seems to me i will only need the club licence but just wanted to check with those in the know.
Thanks in advance, Allan.

Just get a day licence for the first few races and while you are down there find svs and ask him. Hes will fill you in on all the info and make life easy as.

Get the full $90 license. With the club one, you have to specify which club it aligns with.
A 'Club License' will only allow you to race in that clubs race days. So when 'Pacific MCC' run races at Taupo, you won't be able to use your club license to race with them if you've signed up for it under 'Vic club'.

You can always upgrade. The MNZ rules say you can upgrade on the day too. So if someone from PMCC turned up to a vic club round with a PMCC club license, we could (for $40) upgrade them on the spot.

So in that respect, it doesn't really make much difference.

I'd say it's best to get a proper license (either club or full) rather than day licenses. It makes the officials jobs much easier and also gives to a more permanent record of the events you've competed in and a club license is only $20 more than a single day license, and lasts for a year.

Thanks svs, will get a full licence as soon as i get my membership from the vic club.
Appreciate the advise.
Cheers, Allan.

You can have up to 2 day licences credited to your full licence in that year.So keep the receipt and send them in with your application, the cost of the day licences will be taken off your full.
