Speaking of dumb ass cagers, and lack of CDF and everything else....

I was taking my learner (200 k's under her belt) GF for a ride Sunday and this cager must have been short sighted, as they had to get to the point of almost being a pillion to read the big black L on the big yellow back ground on the rear of her bike (or is it long sighted?).

Anyways, when we had room (was going down towards Kawakawa from Orere, fun road, nasty when wet, nasty for a learner, which was kinda the point) we pulled over to let the impatient but curtious driver past, and I waved to them :finger: and said "Have a nice Journey" (or words to that effect  ).

So, while still being calm and collected, the thought ran through my mind, what is the best way to rid a cager of those pesky mirrors without injurying myself?

a better idea is, get infront of them, and try and force/ indicate them to pull over, then walk up and tap on the window, hopefully they wind it down, lean in and lock the door as you grab their keys out chuck them in the bush and run like hell back to your bike and get out of there :nya:

It's because cagers think the "L" stands for "Let's drive as badly as we can".

Lots of people seem to have the experience that, when the "L" goes, half of the bad drivers go along with it.

Unfortunately, you still have to watch out for the other half

This coming from a 2-fiddy - (time for a tui ad) yeah right!!!

Lose the L an ride @ 100kph - problem solved

or

ride en-route en mass, an cruise at whatever speed you want!!!

cages are for da monkey's who can't ride :Punk:

These (http://www.spyderracing.com/TiMAX-LONG-GLOVE-p/3301-0165.htm) are pretty good at removing mirrors, or improving the a/c - or so I've heard :devil2:

We'll reserve the next ride till you can wheelie with us patch!

Watch out for corner 5, going up the hill from Kawakawa, right hand hook turn with nothin but mud right across the lane.....

Was a serious question tho, everyone goes on about removing mirrors, but how do you do that without breaking your elbow, or binning??????

A downward smash of the fist onto the top of the mirror does permanent damage.
If you want to be kind, just hit forwards as you keep accelerating out of retards way.

I ride a cruiser so lifting my steallcap booted foot to mirror hight isn't too much effort. For Suv's, punching it as I go past works. My bike's ballance isn't easily upset by things like this though

Or you could goto the calmer and nicer approach and just fold the mirror back - i think chances are the next day they'll mention it to someone who will say that they got theirs knocked off and then that person will think "shit i better not piss those bikers off again"

If only the world worked as we wanted.... still... worth a try i reckon! (and i might just start doing it!)

Lol hell, I'm as calm as can be when I do it. Nothing relaxes me more than telling a cager to fuck off in a language they understand.

Yea ive done similiar stuff, booted a boy racers door once cos his gf (who couldnt drive for shit, and i doubt she had a license) cut me off once.

In the heat of the moment I find its easy for me to screw up so simple is good.

I think even a 250 could quite easily get out of there before the driver
unlocks his door
spends 10-15 minutes finding said keys (30 minutes or longer and bonus points if you manage to throw them in a river :blip: )
gets back in car
dunno about your riding skills, but I can go fast around corners as well as in a straight line so i'm sure i'd get away :innocent:

Imagine the effect of the recoil on that! Definitely wouldn't want to be riding the thing when it was fired. Scooter with a reverse gear.

Guess it could be considered 'having a rocket up your arse'.
