Shouldnt laugh but this is one of the dumbest bits of riding i have ever seen..even when he realises hes in the shit all the idiot does is hit the rear brake http://www.twistedlimit.com/cbr/Twistedlimit317.WMV sad how they couldnt even see if they could help the guy who might have needed to go to hospital.

Your wrong, laugh away - overtaking on a corner with out having the skill to back it up. The road is not a racetrack.

Harly gangs scare people, which is why im guessing they didnt stop.

Doesnt even lean it over, just seems to panic, and hit the brakes. The 2nd guy almost follows him in too!

Mr panic is not your friend!

I can't believe those weenies in the truck "Oh they are going to beat our asses", "go, get out of here" and "I woulda pulled over if there had been a spot".

They are going to need a truck to drag that lump of metal out of the bushes.

*I think* it should have been possible, even on that road barge of american dung, to go around the corner without crossing the centreline.

You have to cut the guy on the harley some slack though, we've all had the 'stare at the wrong thing and head towards it' moment. Just so happened he had a bad habit, back brake only. The yankee system of not having progressive licences doesn't help these guys really. Those lawyers, accountants or bank managers, go out, buy a tassled jacket and a road king and ride off into the blue yonder. I don't think anyone is telling them to consider training and taking time to 'upskill' on a bike.

I see many scooter riders here in the same boat. I saw a young woman yesterday, (open face) helmet done up very loosely and feet dragging on the ground. <sigh sigh> I do believe in personal responsibility, but at the same time that basic handling course, all those years ago, with an instructor has caused most of us to from the outset consider what were we doing. Rather than just jumping on and riding it.

Hey, where did that safety ninny rant come from..?

I would laugh at him but i've done that twice. Cept i was going faster, looks to me like he hit the front anchors and stopped himself from turning then locked up the back, bit hard to do on a harley - there's always the next corner or straight, and its not like that van was going fast at all.

That's classic mate......what a fucking useless piece of riding that was.
Hope the rider wasn't hurt, but they sure as hell shouldn't be on a bike in the first place.
Harleys (even the FLH Family he/she was on) don't handle that badly that you can't go round a gentle corner at such low speeds.

Pure panic.
