If you get one make sure you put protection on the radiator, mine holed after a run with a couple of mates, had to leave it at Kopu, with liquid pouring all over the road. I was told that they don't need a guard, not so in NZ. One awsome bike though, if you like big that feels small, if you like warp speeds, and good manners and comfy take one for a test ride and you will be hooked.
I love it and bought it without even bothering with a test ride. I read every review and a comparison with a Busa as well. I was sold as soon as I sat on it and haven't looked back since. Seeing and riding is believing.

Kawa, I take it you ride with terbang and will have ridden a Busa?
How do the two compare in reality on our roads? I'm 186cms and found the ergos good on the ZX-14 but the Busa is meant to be a little more compressed for taller riders.
Your comments on the two bikes and which one has the overall edge in terms of corenring and comfort would be much appreciated.
Oh, have you pillioned with it and if so, what did the pillion think?

I have only had a short burst on the Busa, so can only say that the ZX is more spacious which was the first thing I noticed ,the Busa is a more cramped riding position but I guess you can overcome this by fitting bar risers. I find the ZX to be very nimble in the tight twisty stuff for a bike of it's size and inspires confidence, the ZX's throttle control on first impressions is easier than the Busa. It really comes down to how the bike fits the individual. For me it's the ZX without question. The more I ride it the more I love it and the more fun I have. The only thing I can say is the Bridgestones are not my first choice, seem to move around more than what I am used to in damp conditions. Seem fine when the road is dry. 2500 km's and maybe good for another 2000 if I'm lucky, this has included about 700 km's of 2 up. There is a good test between the Busa and ZX 14 on Motorcycle Online. Your write up was pretty impressive and accurate and is how I find the ZX.
